Our friends, Jack & Esther

Now for just a little side tracking,  these are my friends Jack & Esther, Carol, you will remember Esther.  Esther has been my friend since I was 16, and although we lost track of each other for a while, we started calling and caught up on old times. Now Jack, I have known him since I was a Junior in High School, thought he was a cool guy and so I introduced him to Esther.   They have been married 50 years, WHOOHOO, way to go!

These folks have lived down by L.A. for almost 40years, but upon retirement they decided to move up by their daughter Debbies in Washington state.

Debbie lives in Bellingham, and these two now live in Everson, near the Canadian border.   more to come...................

I loved her pantry and had to have a picture, what can I say, I take pictures of food!! 

The Living room is simple but elegant, to say the least.

They have a beautiful kitchen and dining room, and their back deck looks out on a marsh as well as the mountains. Wonderful view.

They were so excited about moving, they forgot to remember that it was cold , and the house froze up on them, they had to call plumbers, etc., and to make things worse, Jack is now retired  and follows Esther everywhere, even to the store.  ARRgggggggggggggg.

However...................All things work out for the good.  They are both learning to accept what is inevitable, RETIREMENT!!!

We had a great time and will probably head there again when we are near the Bellingham area.
