short stop on the way to Death Valley

We saw this little place in Tecopa, Ca. and it said 'Mineral springs', sooo, we pulled off and stayed for the night.
We noticed there were pots, everywhere, so we took a walk and looked at them, they were beautiful and we thought perhaps they had a special meaning, but... when we asked, they said a truck driver had stopped for the night, he unloaded them and just left, so they are selling them, the prices were pretty good, would love to have had a couple, but Sweet William said they wouldn't fit in the bus, OH WELL!!
Loved the texture of these.
Then we found this rock formation, on top of a high hill, and nothin' doin', Sweet William had to follow the yellow brick road, ha ha.
When he got to the center, here is what he found, real treasures, for sure!!
There was even money, woo hoo! No, we aren't that desperate yet!!!!
This was taken from the hill, there is Whody, she is the only visitor, so she is on her best behavior, the rest of the folks live here.
Sweet William then spotted another bus, he seldom misses them.  Somebodies dream, just sitting empty.
Here she is again, we think she is a beauty sitting all alone!
There is the building where the mineral springs are, there were 2 of them, and we enjoyed sitting in them. Nice, warm and soothing.  We both felt so much better afterwards, it is amazing.
We are always looking for a place to do laundry and found this place, decided maybe it wouldn't work, but woo~ee, wash .25 & dry .10, that would have been wonderful, considering it is at least $2.00 to wash and .25 for 10 minutes in most places!! Just shows ya what progress does to ya.
Whiles out taking a ride, we do that a lot if you notice, we run onto this young couple who told us about a mineral spring right out in the desert, so we just had to go.  Of course.
Sweet William just couldn't help himself, took off his shoes and stuck his feet in the water, he said it was a lot hotter than the one we had been in, and there was lotz of mud at the bottom, but felt really good on his feet!

Here he is trying to get the mud off his feet, he did a pretty good job of it too.
On our walk out, we saw this sign, not very clear reading, but it says "Caution, enter at own risk, mud could contain mud mites"  Oops, guess we should have read it before, but oh well!

Took this because I loved the snarly way it looked, I love stuff like this, quite a tree!
In driving around we also found these odd shaped rocks, at first we thought they were man made, but after getting out and looking, they weren't , totally awesome. Bah, want one in the yard back home! Nope, won't fit in Whody! ha ha
Found this campground, so decided to check it out.  It was much nicer than the one we stayed in, but lotz more moola as well.    Don't ya just love the sign below?
Then we saw another one of those silly circle things, loved the jade. Bill didn't follow it this time, no thrill I guess. chuckle
In this campground we found an amazing vehicle, it was from Austria, a really cool thing! Would be fun to run around America in this!
Not sure just what this meant, but it was funny, so here it is!Wish that was all the mistakes I make, right!

!
Here we are at Amargosa, now called Death Valley Junction, we have looked into this and will go when we come back this way and let you know, OK?
Hip, hip hooray, finally we are headed to Death Valley!! So excited, we'll see ya there, OK?
Bye for now, Smiles, Prayers and love , Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
PS  Who could know that someone in the campground at Tepcoa, Cal. would try to use our credit card, our bank called us, and it is the only place we used Bills card!  How dare thieves try to get what we have worked so hard to get!  Gonna get 'em tho, you just watch!!!!
