And here we are in Bullhead City, on the Colorado River, pretty, huh?
There we met some more friends, they really liked the bread I put out, but Sassy hated the fact that we gave "her" bread away, poor starved little girl!
These 2 birds I dubbed Fred & Ethel, where ever one went the other one went the same direction, they even took off in flight together, must be headin' on the spring!
We noticed that there were all kinds of work going on across the river, we later saw a sign that said, Casino Row, and it kind of pointed up in the general area, who knows!
The river was beautiful, as was the weather, we were having our lunch, and who should pop up but the guy below, running like crazy, but my camera picked him up!
"Road runner, the coyotes after you, Road Runner, if he catches you you're through!
Of course we drove around, and saw this bus on our journey, it was done very well, didn't look like a hippy bus at all, but we could tell it had sat for quite a while, bummer.
Took a little walk up Grapevine Canyon ...............
Saw some amazing stuff, like this rock, I thought it was pretty interesting.
And the flowers, you wouldn't think anything could grow out here.
But they do, so delicate, if there are any flower lovers out there these pictures are for you. Sorry, don't know what they are.
,Lotz of petroglyphs, I recognise goats or deer, or? Looks like a bulls eye there, maybe that is telling them there is enough for everyone, go get 'em, that's what I would think!
If you look really close, down in that valley is a white blob, holding a little red blob, that would be me and Sassy, Sweet William had my camera, glad he didn't know how to use the zoom! ha ha
These next three rock formations were truly awesome, they didn't go back very far,
But were unique formations, almost looked like you could make your bed there and spend the night! Perhaps some of the Indians did just that!
Course you know me and cactus, well, come to think of it, me and anything, I love it all! These were the red barrel cactus.
We drove up here and didn't see a single tree, decorated or not, but it was pretty.
Now we have left Bullhead City and are headed for Death Valley, hang in there, have about 3 Death Valley blogs yet! How do you like these Joshua trees? Amazingly green, even in the desert.
Stopped to take a picture of the Worlds tallest thermometer, and for those from Eastern Oregon,...............
It was located in BAKER, Ca. that is. But as I recall, that is the name of Baker City when we moved there in 1976, so just had to put this on, and the picture below as well.
I do remember, honest!! chuckle!
GASP, CHOKE, SPUTTER. what ever you do, don't buy gas in California if ya don't have to! For awhile I wasn't sure my camera would ever work again!
Woo,Hoo, the road to Death Valley is long, make sure ya take lotz of water and vitals, at least 2 mules and yer diggin' tools, we are headed for gold.......... well, it sounded good to me!!!
Another blog finished, and hope you learned a little, until next time, hugs, love and prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
