Howdy, we are back, but wow, got a new carrier for my Internet and once again the picture uploading is different. Oh well, at least you will see the pictures, maybe not in the right order, OK? Above you are looking at our daughters house, taken from our lot in Baker City. This is where we began.....again, headed for Milwaukie to see Bills brother & and Sister~in~law, spent a few days visiting them, then headed out,
Were gona spend some time in Brookings, but got itchy feet, wanted back on the road, so Nevada, here we come, it is lotz warmer, and warmer works for us!
Amazing hills and rocks, aren't these cool, they just jut right out of that hill, I am amazed every time I see things like this, it is just awesome!
Met a sick cow, poor thing, couldn't find another cow on or off the highway anywhere. She was soo skinny and it looked like she had hurt her leg, guess not all cows are happy cows, huh?
Found a really nice Wal~mart in Elko, put our chairs out and just enjoyed the sun, notice the nice manicured lawn and shrubbery!
Then we headed out again the next day, still not 100% sure where we were going, how do you like these twin tunnels, they were plenty long, but Whody just trucked right on through!
We stopped at a rest area for the night and took a little walk up a very loooong hill, and from there you could see the hills that most of the Donner party didn't make through, Bill and I tried to put ourselves in the pioneer wagons, just imagine the hardships coming over those mountains, we decided, yep, we'd have been that crazy to head out, just to see what was there!
for those who know me, I actually wore tennis shoes, not my Birks, sometimes I'm not to bright, but I am no fool! HAHA
This is a planter I picked up whiles in Baker City, we dug up some plants whiles we were up on that hill, and planted them in it, they really took hold and it looks good!
We went by the Salt flats, they were testing something, but we were going the wrong way to stop, so just kept on going. I had one disappointed husband, for sure, but we will be back one day, you can count on it! And saw these, don't they look like Egyptian Pyramids, cool I think!
Well folks, that's it for now, we aren't at our journeys end, so come on back and see us again, will try to get on the ball again, OK?
Love, hugs & prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
