From there 2 here #2........

Hi, well, here we are in Wyoming, glory be, just bummin', not traveling fast or nuthin'!
You know me and animals, there were so many of these on the road, glad we aren't traveling at night cause they are kinda like bears, they "go over the road to see what they can see", then the next thing you know they are at the roadkill cafe!
These guys are everywhere, we all need electricity it seems, I know lots of folks hate them, but it is really cool to see them all going at the same time.
This was Table Rock, but take a look, you'd have to hold on to your place setting or it would slip right off onto the floor, just kidding, this is near where we saw the wild horses, they are coming up.
This is also where the legend of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was.  It is said that these 2 characters left the country, but later sneaked back in with assumed names and died of old age in the United States, who really knows for sure, but what a story! This is Rocksprings, Wy. from waaaay up on a mountain, what a view it was.  On the very top were 2 grave markers, nothing on them. Wondered if this was a party place for kids, or maybe even a 4wheel drive place and someone went over the side.  Made for interesting thinkin', that's for sure!
Looks like maybe a lady and a man?????
Here be the wild horses, they were so pretty.  The horse (dark) in the middle must have been the 'Stallion' in charge of this herd, cause he never took his eye off of us, letting us know these were HIS.
Along side the roads here there are piles of horse dung, it is the studs newspaper, marking their territory, for those who can't read the fine print, the same piles are used over and over, usually by the same stud and can reach heights of up to 3ft., that's a lot of dung, sound familiar gals? There is usually a lot of "dung" involved in the human dating process, haha
This is listed as the transportation corridor. Pioneers traveled here with all their possessions. It was called the Overland trail, and later the trains also went through here.
It is also known as the over head air corridor. Hundreds of large body aircraft, freight & military pass through here.
Here is Sweet William checking out this corridor, it was really very beautiful and we spent several hours there.
Then we spotted these pipes, kinda looks like braiding, or cording.
These were huge pipes and they went a long way. I always think they are rollers for a giants hair! Leave it to me, good imagination!  We never did find out for sure what they would be piping in.
Loved this rock, if you look close to the bottom you will see there is a hole all the way through. It was gnarly and really prettier than it looks here.
Here are the horses that they have rounded up this year. I loved the gray one in the middle, kind of a gunmetal gray.  They don't look very wild here, do they.  All are sold, but you must prove that you can take care of them properly for a year before they will sign adoption papers.
Yowza, thought we were near home, but nope, this is Arlington, Wy., Oh well.
Here we are on the Lincoln Hwy. 80 in Wyoming.
This is ole Honest Abe himself.  Remembered seeing him in the 80's when I went with my friend Shirley Doser to Kansas, it is much better today, with a nice rest area and  a Visitors Center too.
And I will leave you with this little inscription, I do agree with Mr. Lincoln.
By the way, we are really in beautiful down town Protem,Mo., population 2, visiting with our friends here.  Will have one more blog to get us to Mo., then one or so in this beautiful state. Next we are headed down to Texas, Pharr to be exact!
Until next time, prayers, hugs & love, Arlette & Bill too, and the happy Sassy

GEEZ...had a note all typed in and then found I had to have an account to contact you via the blog.

At anyrate... loved the ferry tale...can only imagine your angst during the loading.

Did you receive the horseshoe nail cross? Mailed it a couple weeks back, but know that you don't always get your mail in a timely manner being on the road.

Tell Miss Sassy that Jack sends her kisses. He went to the groomer yesterday so he is looking good an smells sweet.

SAFE TRAVELS
Pam
