Yee Haw,here we are in beautiful Nebraska, have never been here before so are really looking forward to lookin' around.
Saw these, but could never quite figure out what they were. Looked like a big bird, or????? It was pretty, really pretty.
It was soo cool, we went a long way on this hiway, had a hard time convincing Sweet William that Whody (our bus) didn't have to go as fast as the pony express, no one was waiting down the line to give us a rest, 'Whoa big fella'.
For all you Harley folks out there, how's this for a bike? May be for Paul Bunyan? We stopped at a little wayside for lunch, took a walk and found this. Stood looking at it quite a while, what an imagination some folks had , it was very detailed and wonderful to look at.
Next to the bike was this really cool windmill, if you look at the top, it has an unusual pattern. These folks knew how to bring attention to their place, although it said private property you couldn't help but stop to look.
Loved this statue of the pony express rider. Can't you just see them galloping with all their might? They went 10miles to the next station, grabbed another horse and went on again, Giddyup hoss!!!!!
This was interesting, there were 2 of these going down the road, and there was no way they would pull over to let you by. It was their road and they weren't afraid to use it. I do love the American Farmer, what would we do without them!
Couldn't have because here we are near Gladstone, Hey Dots, maybe I can call Bingo again, do ya think? Nope! Isn't it amazing how many towns have the same names? Maybe I should start writing them down!
All along side the roads we saw the farmers harvesting their crops. I believe this was in Kansas, don't remember, I really do need to get back to my blog, my memory is to short to wait so long!
Here is Whody in a trailer park in Springfield, Mo. it was a horrible park, but we had to empty our tank and get some water, so we stayed overnight. The next morning we headed for the nearest Wal~mart, waiting to go to Rogersville to the Eagle Bus Wagon Masters house, then on to Branson Landing RV Park for our rally. See ya there. Come on back, I may be slow but I always show up, so don't give up on me, OK? Love Hugs and Prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
