This is a hard blog for me to do because there were soo many pictures I wanted to put on, but am trying to curtail my urge!! Guess you know who the funny couple above are, this was after we came back from the boat ride to the falls! What a rush, a wet one, but WOW, the velocity of this falls was amazing, you were about blown off the map, well, the boat anyway! Bill and I were in the "2nd" row, if you want to put it that way, but we still got waay wet. They give everyone these little blue ponchos as you load the boat, they are thin, but keep you "comparatively" dry! Here is a picture I took as the boat pulled right up to the falls, I didn't want to get my camera wet, but took as many pictures as I could before tucking it back under my poncho. Here you see a few of the "barrels that actually went over the falls and the folks lived. Can you believe one guy went over in a jet ski? Me neither, but he did! There it is, living proof, and he DID live. Another contraption, this one blew an inner tube. This guy actually went over twice, the first time he thought it was so fun that he built another one big enough to fit himself AND his fiance. Man if I think I'm gona die, I would want a ring on my finger! Besides that, the hole you had to crawl into was waaay to small and it was waay to dark for me!This is our guide Chris, a retired DC police officer and he did an excellent job. Below is the falls in what I am told is 50% amount of water that there use to be. At night they cut it down another 50%. Can not even imagine what it was like at 100%, WHOA!!!!! Isn't it beautiful? There goes Bill up the steps to the smaller American Falls, I took the lazy way up, to a point, then you go up the stairs and really get wet, Bill could only take it for a few seconds, I stood there awhile 'cause it felt so cool, I loved it! As we were rounding the corner to go back to our bus, well the tour bus, we heard bagpipes, and low and behold, these 2 were playing, it was delightful, I love the bagpipes and at one time wanted to play them, my Moms response?"Over my dead body" Shucks!I loved this picture, guess cause I would love to eat an ice cream cone that size, I do love it, but don't get to eat it much anymore, I would share with my grandkids, absolutely! This little beggar was standing on the tree, wanting someone to give him something to eat. He would go to one side and then another until a little boy scared him away. He was awfully cute, but a true tourist trap!Am leaving you with our last view of the falls. We were getting ready to board our tour bus, so I clicked this off. It is so much deeper than this. Wish I could somehow show you how it sounded and felt, but don't have that kind of technology yet!
So, from the drippy 2some, Hugs, Smiles and Prayers to all that come back and those who don't! Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy I am stacking up blogs, so please be sure to read down until you get to your stop line! ;*)
