Elkhart and the RV Museum

Hi again, here we are on the Indiana toll road, one of them we got in the wrong lane and didn't pay, so have to send a check for $5. or they will charge us $20.  Haven't done it yet, we have 7 days, whoops!  Below is something we have seen so much of, in Pennsylvania, New York , Ohio, and now Indiana, they are all so amazing to see, and they still use these silos too!Next we went to Elkhart, Ind. to the RV Museum, what a kick, now if ya'll want class, here you got Cadillac class, there was an amazing amount of room in there, not as much as in Whody, mind you, but for a week or so, just keep yourself bent in the middle a bit and you are good to go!!! Now talk about a cutey, not much room, but oolala, down the road we go, ya didn't have to bend in the middle neither! They were really clever, as you can see below, when you want a shower, just push the toilet and the sink up into the wall and Walla!!! a shower without the toilet in the way, pretty clever if ya ask me!  And the kitchen sink was big, none of this rinky~dink stuff ya see in a lot of the older RVs!This RV belonged to Mae West, really plush inside, had everything you needed, right down to a back porch where she use to put a rocking chair, how's that for................................
"Why don't ya come up and see me sometime?"  I didn't even know she camped! How about that folks, ya learn sumthin' new ever day. This caught us by surprise, we were in Tampa, Fl., had we known this was there we would have stopped to see it.  Quite a tribute to the Silverstream trailers, besides it would have been a hoot to see , right? Now you are seeing some 'tools of the trade' that were used waay back when all this craziness started, I imagine they put ice in that so called refer, and I love the old stove, we use to use the old Coleman stoves, but this one is the real deal.  The next item I encouraged my friend Jeanie from North Carolina to buy, they have a 1948 Silversides Bus that doesn't have a lot of storage, and all the tools she needs would be in one basket, or suitcase, I was amazed to see how clever us 'Gypsy' types were, and let me tell you, we are!!!!Isn't this just the cutest?  Bill really liked it and was sure we could live in it quite a while, that is until he saw the seats, 'Specially the drivers seat, no padding, says he, we wouldn't be going very far for sure! HAHA.  I'm gona start something new, so you will know where we are , but the blog may not be there yet, some days I can't get on the Internet, but still love to do blogs to show you some of the stuff we see, so from now on, if I remember, I will start with where we are at the time.  So if you are reading the blogs on a regular basis, be sure to keep on reading until you get to where YOU stopped, I will stack them up as much as possible. Now, I'm not sure what I said, hope you know. Soo,for now, We are in Rapid City, South Dakota , what a pretty place.  Keep smiling until you hear again, Hugs, Prayers and smiles to ya all, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
