Found such interesting stuff in Indio, thought maybe we should put Whody on pontoons like this, just in case, what do ya think?? Don't people have some cool ideas??
Now I'm not so sure how cool this is,but it sure was fun to see, the whole yard was like this!
Here we are at the Blue Grass Festival in Blythe, Calif. That is our friend Cindy, it was nice and warm during the day, and when we weren't at the performances, this is what we did.
Now if this isn't "uptown" I don't know what is. They delivered this AND wood for free, as the evenings got quite cool, and they wanted ya'll to be warm when they serenaded you or when you were listenin' to them jam.
Sometime we went in where it was warm and listened until 1am or so, this is our friends Bob & Cindy, they had been doing this for 3 days, every night, they were pooped, but couldn't help taking this, CUTE!!!
This feller was quite a character, reminded me of Ray Stevens, (the song The Streak), his sense of humor was a kick in the pants, and could he ever play that banjo. He was one of the jammers.
Now this guy was an artist, he could really play that fiddle, but most of all he had a grin that went from ear to ear, and anytime anyone made a mistake, he would crack up!!
These 2 girls have been playing bluegrass since they were 5 & 6. The one with the rose sweater on also writes music, and it is reeeally good. Do ya think Mom looks a little proud?? The gal playing the fiddle can also play the mandolin, and has a beautiful voice as well.
We saw all sorts of buses on our journey, this is a Crown bus, made sometime in the 30's or 40's I believe. Don't quote me, I could be wrong, but it is cool anyway!
We did some awesome off roading, sometimes just barely making it through, but we did it! Good old Suzuki!
Hey, out in the desert we found Noahs Ark, well, not really, but ya gotta admit if you found this in the middle of nowhere you would wonder!
Told ya these were all mixed up, here we are getting settled for the Bluegrass Festival.
This is what we were told to look for, then "turn right", it was good directions, and just after the festival, they were all gone. Aliens, right? OOPS, nope not here, that's New Mexico. Isn't that the cutest face??
Here we are headed OUT of Indio, California.
Bill & Bob were like a couple of kids in a candy store at the rally in Indio, they are both loony about the same things and just had a ball!
We did eat good vittles, and it was at a good price as well, only $15 for both of us, and these are Rib eyes. It came with baked potatoes, salad, veggies & rolls, as well as deserts, what more could you ask for?
Loved this eagle, who knows, maybe someday we will get our Whody painted, but don't hold your breathe.
This is my attempt at getting a picture of a mole, I know, I'm flawed in the head, but just couldn't help myself. He was right by our table, and every time he would come up, Bob would fill his hole and the little bugger would come up again, funny lookin' little guy, we saw him but my camera didn't.
OH YES, and did I tell you that we ate very well? $6.00 for both of us, and this came with salad, chips, potato salad and desert! Bill and I are slowly expanding our horizons, ahem, well, whatever!
Well I have finally been able to download pictures, and have lotz more coming, it is 1:30 am here and I am going to hit the hay, sooooooooo
Hugs, prayers & love, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
