The General Jackson Showboat and gettin' there

Well Hi again, Another picture of the Dynamic Duo, about to board the General Jackson Showboat! In the meantime...................... Remember the Dukes of Hazard? Well this is the The General O1/2 Isn't this just the cutest? This is Bills 2nd choice for a car, paint it green when we paint Whody, and off we go. I like this one better than that other job he picked out!

This cracked me up so I just had to take a picture!

And here be the "Blues Brothers", note the Willy head bands!!

This isn't to clear cause I was REAL nervous having Bill so close to Dolly!!! (yeah right!)
Here we are, at the waiting station for the General Jackson Riverboat. By this time I was so excited I could hardly contain myself, this is as close to a cruise as I will EVER get, so I enjoy every minute of it!! HAHA

It was a Sunday Evening, and Bill just knew we were gona be all alone on the boat! Silly man!

All the hired help taking a break before the big boarding!!!

We are on, and this is the front of the boat, we are on the Cumberland River, the weather is amazing!! This Paddle Wheeler is 300ft long, and was built like the ones that floated down the river in 1817.

This shows the lower deck, and the folks here either paid to just cruise, or they paid for the buffet and band, around on the other side.

Above deck, we wandered all over, up, down, all around, you know me, I'm NOSEY!!!!

This is her Sister Ship, the Music City Queen, it takes mostly private parties, and is much smaller than the General Jackson, but it is just as pretty!

LOVE the paddle wheel, so had to stand there until it started. You always get a cool spray and it's MAVELUS DAHLINGS !

Here is the dining room where we had dinner, it was very formal and Bill & I had to really THINK, we haven't done this for so many years we weren't sure which utensils to use or when to use them, turned out OK, nobody else at our table knew either! Had a family from Minnesota, their son lived in Nashville and was showing them the town, the other couple was from Texas, and the guy was enthralled with the idea that we LIVED in our bus full time! WHODATHOT?????

This was taken from our table to the balcony above, it had a tin ceiling and there was a lot of detail. Really pretty.Note the curtains and the stairs.

After dinner and before desert, we went out just in time to see the sun set on Nashville, cool picture, HUH?

This is the park where the lady told Bill to shut~up, she was talking to herself, it is also the area where the fort was.

This is the 'Roller Coaster Wreck', as our guide told us, He told us the real name, but don't you know THAT is what I remembered!

Here is another look at the Batman Tower, as the boat was turning around.

We saw this before when we were walking along the waterfront, but didn't realize it was on a big barge.

This was the beginning of the show we saw, here they are starting where country music did, in the churches of the south. Notice the clothes.

Now we are up to George Jones, this guy was really good, and had a personality that just wouldn't quit! Big Dimples!

This little gal played a mean fiddle, she also played the guitar for several of the numbers, never cracked a smile!

Here they are singing Lee Greenwoods, 'Proud to be an American', and the crowd all stood up and just whistled and hollered, it was truly amazing. These guys were really, really good!!!!

The last of the folks are off the boat, but loved the look of it at night! And this is goodnite from us too, We are almost through with Nashville, just gona put some pictures on of the Opry Hotel, then on to Memphis! Keep smilin' Love,Hugs and Prayers to all, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
