Well here we are in Nashville, Tn. Don't know the name of this building, but it was so pretty with the reflection of the clouds that I just had to put it on for you!
This is the AT&T building, which also holds the Nissan headquarters, and is lovingly called the "Batman Tower." The man who designed it LOVED Batman, and I guess when it is lit up at night it looks like Batman, was never downtown at night to find out!

This is Nashville, heading out of the old part of town, going to the new. I always thought it was a small town, but it is a town of 600,000+ and growing everyday.
My love for Nashville started when I met Chuck, my step dad, He was kicking around here when Hank Williams was here and use to play with Hank on occasion. He use to tell me about a place called "MOMS" where He use to play his guitar, and when it was sold in the 60's to "Tootsie Bess", she hired painters to paint her place beige, by mistake they painted it Orchid, Sooo from then on it was called 'Tootsies Orchid Lounge', still a place where wanna be stars can get up on stage and try out. Many people were discovered there, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson,to name a few. Tootsie was known to slip a $5 or $10 to struggling artists, as well feed them and take their IOU's, and legend has it that at the end of the year, those who had made it picked up all those IOUs so Tootsie could stay in business. When you go in you will still hear the hopefuls singing their hearts out.

Although we didn't make it into this cafe, I loved the huge guitar. We tried to hit as many places as possible, cause this has been a dream of mine since I heard about it in 1948, but we wore out after being here and going from 8-6 or 8pm!
These posters are still made the same way they were made in the '30's & 40's, with wooden blocks, poster paint and an old press.
This is one of the presses they still use today.
These are the wood letters and # they still use, so the same P they used for Patsy Cline could be the same P they used for Patty Loveless, sometimes the old way is the best way, it was soo interesting to read all the posters on the walls!
This is a scene I have put on here a few times, and one you see over and over and over here in Nashville. They never give up, and play and sing their hearts out!
Another cool guitar, this one has all the legends painted on it, some real talent on there, and the painter was talented as well.
This is only one of the old buildings that are just sitting here with nobody to love it. Our guide said there were people working hard to get more of the old buildings renovated and back to work. They are so pretty and the architecture is amazing,I certainly hope they succeed.
This story is interesting! When they were excavating to build this complex, they found all of these cannon~balls. Checking into history they found out that the Confederates buried them so that the Union couldn't use them, they found hundreds of them.
This is another very common scene I am sorry to say, all kinds of folks living on the streets. Makes you want to cry!
How I remember listening to Ernest Tubbs music when I was young, and hearing Daddy Chuck play it on his guitar. Inside of this building there is still a stage where Ernest and anyone who wanted to play could do so. It was always after all the other places had closed, and there were still those who wanted to play, then they all went to this record shop.
This is called an Arcade now, but it was the main shopping place back in the 40's.
Again, here is a common sight, sorry ya hafta crane yer neck to see it!
This was the first Locomotive to make it to Nashville, successfully connecting the town with the rest of civilization!
One of the "Tourist Traps", but it was a cool place anyway. Loved the name!!
The state Capital, beautiful building!
Found this in the Charlie Daniels Museum and liked it. Bill and I are sorta rollin' stones!
Took this more for the bus, cool lookin' aint it. However, this Is the Charlie Daniels Band when it first started. A motley crew if ya ask me!
This is the first band that Charlie Daniels played in, and was called the Jaguars, all so nice and clean cut, nothin' like the above picture, HUH??
This is the Charlie Daniels Headquarters, where he sits and talks to folks and signs autographs when he is in town. Notice the footstool, what a gas!
Thought this was a pretty picture, showing the bridge into Nashville as well as a weird sculpture, looked like a wrecked rollercoaster to me!
Another view of the water front. This area is mostly frequented by the homeless. Bill passed a funny little lady who was muttering, and said "Sorry, did you say something?" Her answer? "Shut up, I was tawkin' ta maself". OOPS.... sorry lady! HAHA
My second favorite is Blues, and BB King is the best when it comes to that, Of course upon entering you can buy shirts, and about anything "touristy" that you want, and it was a restaurant as well.
This fella had a sign that said "Help the Vets, after all, they fought for you", another sad story, except he looked pretty content, and not abused, by any means!
A picture of Sweet William going through the buildings of the mock Fort that was built here years ago, when it was called Nashboro, with the influence of the french, the name was changed to Nashville.
And this is the Largest Magnolia tree in the world, at least that is what the guide told us, it was just beginning to bloom. The trunk looks like it has a face on it, and the face is sticking out its tongue!
