Here we are in New Mexico, can tell by the teepee?? Probably not, didn't see Custer anywhere, but saw some nice buildings in a rest area where you could go if needed!!
Now there is a little story you must hear before the next picture. We were driving down the road, heard a funny sound, Bill got out and looked, not seeing anything got back in and headed back on the freeway. WEllll, the noise got really loud after we got on the freeway, and OOOPPPS... our drive line was dragging. He pulled off, and got it back on and we prayed that we would make it to LasCruces, NM. And now....... on with the story!!
This is actually a rest area!Made it to LasCruces, and below you see us in the Wal~Mart parking lot, usually we go in and ask the management, but not this time, they couldn't kick us out because we couldn't move!
We did have some company, quite a few in fact, and the Security Guard has his motor home there too, so he said he couldn't very well kick us out! Whiles waiting for bearings we decided to go to a car show. Below is a 1966 Chinook camper, motor home.....
It was pretty cool looking, they were letting folks look inside, but we didn't. Below is a car that I can't remember what it was and Bill isn't available to tell me, but ....I WANT ONE!!! It matches Whody right down to the suicide door! WhooHoo, wouldn't that be fun to tow. YES!!!!!
Pretty inside too, with this sweet little guy, anyone remember who he is??? Let me know, and the car too, OK? Just a little trivia for ya! ha ha
This was such a pretty car, made us reminisce for a few minutes. This was our dream car back when we were young and naive. We still think it is a beaut!!
This is an actual car that was driving through, he just stopped to talk to a friend, no tires on the ground on the right side, COOL!!!!
This was a Hudson convertible that I understand is pretty rare, and it was a thing of beauty! Below is an old jeep pick~up I thought
was cool.
Below is a 1963 Dodge wagon like the one Bills brother John bought, in 1963 of course!!
The above was the coolest thing, this kid built it (with help) and he will be racing it, with another person in the back seat, in Atlanta, Georgia sometime in April. He could really make it move.
Of course Sweet William has to check out this very nice Chevy Cameo, I loved the sun visor!
Below that is a very beautiful Indian Motorcyle. Looks like it was decked out for Elvis, don't it?
Have no idea why this machine won't let me write on the other pictures below, but there is a cushman like Bill use to have when he delivered papers, many, many, many years ago!
OK, I give up,4 pictures above this one is a 1940's Lincoln Continental, and a Jeepster, just like the McAleers, well, sorta like the McAleers! I took these to show them what Patchwork could look like! ha ha
Well folks, I finally got through this blog, Whew, I am worn out! But there is another one coming, honest!!!
Thanks for coming back, Hugs, Love and Prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
