Hello there, let me catch you up a bit, back in late Dec. Our little Sassy had a problem with a toe, and McAleers had a problem too! Not with a toe, but with the engine of their jeep. Bob was on his way to meet his brother in Los Angeles when his cars heart just plain quit, he did get off the road, and Cindy called us. Because of Sassys toe, we were still parked close by the McAleers and headed out to rescue friend Bob, took him to LA and brought him home to the Palm Springs area about 1 am, YAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnn
Doesn't Sassy look sad, well, not really, for almost bleeding to death, she looks pretty cool! Ha ha
Got Bob and his jeep out in the desert, found an engine that was suppose to be delivered to Blythe.Cal. but when it came down to last minute, Bob was told he would have to go back to Indio, Cal., soooooo he started out with the only thing running, but alas, their bus wouldn't fill with air, thus the above thing and a lot of work to get his bus going so he could go after the engine to get his jeep going, whew, ahhhh he is in a predicament, yep yep, but Bill and Bob figured it out, got the bus going, with Cindy saying, No way can they put an engine in out here! Well let me tell you folks, if my Sweet William is involved, it CAN be done!!! We've been in a few of these predicaments, yes we have!!!
Here you see Bob, looking as the new engine goes in. Notice the above picture with the "GALLOWS" as they were lovingly called. Sweet William, with Bobs help built them. WHOO HOO where there is a will there is a way!
Since then we have walked through cactus fields and Bob picked this baby cactus up with his welding gloves,.....
Been to a Bluegrass Festival, and to Mexico where I rescued Carlos and Maria, aren't they adorable?........
And went to a Gospel Blue Grass Festival where we met this incredible Christian family, and boy can they sing! Their youngest daughter yodels in 3 languages. Well, sorta! ha ha And all play more than one instrument.
To make a long story short, the McAleers are now back on the road, headed for Washington,DC, and we are headed for somewhere else, who knows, will spend time around Mesa,AZ and maybe Tucson, AZ, then head for Texas, no, not waaaay down South, just in the panhandle part, so maybe I will be a bit more faithful to all of you! Prayerfully we will be having some interesting journeys. So for this time.......
Hugs, Prayers and always Smiles, Arlette & Bill too, and the completely well Sassy.
PS. RIP Calvin, who belonged to Ruby and Bill Keefer, and I understand Welcome to Trudy, who is the new dog in their life!
