When you are out and about you just never know what you will run into, we were headed for a place called 'Pioneer Town' when Bob McAleer hollered, "HEY, did you see that train?"....Nope, but Bill put on the skids and we turned around, just to look, and what a cute, and well kept train it was, with a sign that read "Mesa Railroad", however..... the lady that owned it was out in the yard and she invited us in, Whoo Hoo, what a treat!!
Those that know me know that any smiley face makes me happy, and the fact that the fellas were allowed to actually get in the train and play for a while made it even better, look close, see the smile on Sweet Williams face? This train has actual train gauges, of course they don't work, but what fun! They are in the picture below this one.
Bob chose to take a passenger with him, what a nice guy, huh? I kind of laughed at this sign, but low and behold, they did have stock, just look at those cute little buggers below..
Let me introduce you to Darla, Spanky and Alfalfa, they were soon to buy a Buckwheat, but hadn't made that deal yet, aren't they just the cutest?
I, as usual, don't remember which one is which, but do know the little one below is Spanky, they had just acquired him and he was a baby, so soft you just wanted to keep on petting and petting him!
We probably spent 45minutes there and what a treat. They had other out buildings as well, one that was built just to cover their big propane tank, what a cool idea, they had a whole village and were working on creating more. This was a little side adventure that we did not expect, but who knows, maybe someday we will go back to visit those folks and check out the 'Little Rascals', and see if Buckwheat ever arrived! .
What fun we are having, learning to keep our eyes open for anything unusual. Thanks for coming along with us and come on back, next we go to 'Pioneer Town', quite a story!
Until next time, Hugs, Love and Prayers, Oh Yes, Smiles too, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
