SLAB CITY #2 Junk art

Can you believe it, 2 blogs in a row???   Well get your eyes on, this one is a lulu!!

I want you to know that if you have junk hanging around your place there IS something you can do besides pay to haul it off to the dump!! ha ha  Above you see an entrance way made of old propane tanks,  below, we all have used cans, decorate a fence with them, need a little more color, add those beautiful cobalt blue bottles!

This wall was really pretty, and was a work in progress, all are bottles of different colors, although quite pretty, but not sure what all was in the one below, a lot of glass for sure.

Another hodge podge of stuff, but look at the cool house in the ground, it was great!

Old gas cans?, make a collage, add a few old gas tanks for extra spice!  The fella below was really cool, his tusks are metal, his snout a hose, the rest of him was different kinds of metal, What fun!!! Loved him!

What a creative thing to do with your old swing set!  Everyone has old lawn chairs hanging around,  make a large wind chime!!

Take a good look at the structure below, we will come back to it.

What does this remind you of?  Perhaps a rubix cube? 'Cept this one has fishies, frogs, and all kinds of bugs, all were the squishy kind!

Like a little goose?  They had a lot of them, all in one place, except a few headless ones, take your pick.

What you are seeing below is a bus that is partially buried in the ground.  We were told that when you go in it is perfectly level, they had it rented out, so we were not able to check it out, sorry. There will be a picture of the front later on down towards the end.

Back to the structure we talked about earlier.  Some one spent an awful lot of time pounding those huge nails into that chair, right? More goose heads, if you loose the bodies you know what to do with the heads now!!!!!

Got bottle caps or one to many old egg beaters?  Now you know what to do with them!!

I have beads on my curtains in the living room, but have never seen them on a fender before, how about you folks!!  Need a key, they had lotz!!!!

This car reminds me a little of the movie 'Back to the Future',   got it's antennas all set to go,cute!

I really did like the sculpture below, it looked like a really pretty flower when you were looking at it, it is really old tin cans, I would enjoy something like that.  Not sure if they used special cans, these seem to have a coppery glow. Awesome!!!!

Showed you the wall made with bottles, this large one was on the inside of the wall pretty unique.

I can believe this sign!!!! ha ha.

Have a few left over shells, just glue them to the top of your car, makes for a different look and it won't leak!!

Just look and see what all you find, it is amazing.  The fellow below is the one that started all this, He died a young man, I wonder what from??????

It was a very interesting place to visit, and as you can see, they are working on it all the time.  The tour was free, but you could donate if you wished. Uh Huh.
