#6 Camping in the mountains, & lookin' around.

We had friends come and visit us the next morning after our campfire. I forgot and left the bean pot outside, and low and behold, there were NO beans left when I went to retrieve it!!  Do squirrels have after effects like we do?  If so, this little guy is in BIG trouble cause he ate a lot of beans!!!

While his buddy was stealing beans, this guy hopped up on the table to see if we had left any hot dogs or chips!!  Sorry big fella, we ate them all!

Now this one was a forest ranger, a really good friend of Smokey the Bear, he is checking to make sure our fire was dead, completely!

Whiles we were out by the Colorado River, Bill and I had our 49th wedding Anniversary.  Cindy made this really cute card for us. Thanks Cindy!!  

The day before had been Cindys Birthday, she went to the Jail for breakfast and did some shopping.  It wasn't actually a jail, just named that! ha ha

It rained that day, and we had a little water fall all our own.  Sounded awesome!

There we are in all our glory, it was such a beautiful day, we put out our chairs and decided to have a fire!

We took a drive to see one of the places Bob & Cindy came with their jeep club a few years back, love the water fall.

Here is 'Potato Salad' rock, we had hoped to see some jeeps come racing up or down, but no, not the whole time we were in Moab, we kept checking!

So Bob found his very own place, it was called 'Little Lion Head, so up............

and UP...........

Then down he came, Cindy is down there taking pictures.  He turned around at the top and headed down.

Now here is why, a BIG puddle!  On the downhill he wasn't sure how deep it was, so he went around to the other side and through the puddle, up to the jeeps knees, and went right over the top, Cindy was with him this time!!

Don't recall if  this had a name, but looked like a T~pot to me!

Looks like a big old slug, and like it would slime down the hill any minute!!

The whole scene was heart stopping, loved it!  Just look at those clouds!

This mountain was really pretty with the sun shining on it, but for myself, glad that snow is HIGH on the mountain!

If you look really close you will see a really pretty lake.

Now we are on the Colorado River, but on the opposite side of the highway from where our buses are parked.

There were quite a few of these to watch!

Even the dog had on a life vest!

This one too, they looked to be having a wonderful time, it was warm and sunny.  Sure looked like fun!
 

We had fun that day too, just hitting the back roads to find out where they go.  This road took us through a park first, then we ended up on the other side of the town of Moab!  We are a crazy 4 some, but we do have fun!   Thanks for coming along again!  Our love and prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
