Hi to you all, if you don't know what the above books are, you will, I have about 10 more blogs waiting in the wings, all a condensed version, so let's get this going, OK?
We spent some time with Bob & Cindy out in the desert from Yuma, helped Bob with some stuff on his bus, 'Last Resort, then we said goodbye, and headed back to Quartzsite to spend a little time with Jan & Gary, our friends from Missouri.
As we were leaving we saw this poor fella waiting for a bus, and thanked the Lord we had already caught our Bus!
Gary & Jan took us down hills, up hills ,around hills and stopped at these most amazing grinding holes!
The Indians used these to grind their corn and other things too I guess, hope they scrapped the bugs out, but oh well, a little meat is good for the soul, right?
They also showed us some Petroglyths, probably spelling that wrong, sorry, I'm not to sure about these things, looks like our modern day tagging! Nobody really knows what they are saying except those that wrote it and they are long since dead, but they are pretty cool really.
Whiles we were out I stopped to talk to Auntie Maude, my she has really developed warts since I saw her last, poor dear, but at her age one can expect these things!
Here Gary and Bill are discussing the different rocks, what is useful for different things.Gary has been learning all sorts of stuff about them, as has Jan. They make beautiful jewelry!
They showed us a whole lot of other things, but the time came to say goodbye, see ya next year, there is plenty of desert to explore yet!
We were now headed for Lake Havasu City to stay in our favorite park, but when we got there we were in for a really great surprise, but you have to come back to see what it was, so until next time...................... Hugs, Love and Prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
