Little Rock, Arkansas (riverfront)

Here you are looking at the Capital Hotel, notice that each window has its own little umbrella, but only 2 have their own little veranda, more bucks I betcha!  This hotel has been around a looong time, and is so well taken care of. Very stately looking as you can see below!
Thought about taking a trip on this pretty riverboat, but their schedule didn't coincide with ours, so past it up, maybe next time.  If you look close behind it there is a submarine, it was closed, and although Bill would go through it, I PASS, a submarine is no place for me, I have claustrophobia and I would probably have to be greased to get me in and out, there ain't much room in those things! Kudos to the fellas that live in them!
Below is one of the streetcars we rode around the town, they were magnificent inside, and the drivers were so friendly, one even asked us if we would take him with us when we headed back to Oregon, he had been there and was ready to go back!  'Cause we are old it only cost us .50 each, a bargain at that price!

I loved these statues, they were in front of a museum, hopefully that will get on here later, they were made of metal and depicted the days of folk dancing, very beautiful!
This magnificent Eagle was just a few steps from where we parked to walked to the riverfront.
This statue touched my heart, this woman is telling her young son to never give up, work hard and set your mind on your goal.  Put one foot in front of the other and you would get there for sure!
Here is a Dad teaching his Son how to fish, if ya wanna eat son, ya gotta learn 'ta fish!
This one was all gals, looked like they were teaching the young'uns!
Below is the 'River Market Pig', he was given to honor all the workers there.  He is quite proud of himself and looks down his nose at those lowly Koi below!  I really loved him, he has character!
I thought this building was quite lovely, they were having a meeting of some sort,so didn't get to go in. sniff, sniff.
I remember trying to make paper airplanes as a kid, never could get the boogers to fly, but here it shows step by step how to do it.  Went home and tried it, nope, still couldn't make it fly.  There were several Origami presentations here, all very amazing, as were all the art work! This painting was on the wall near the stearnwheeler along with several others. I thought it really showed the true Little Rock.  We saw a few things that saddened us and showed us there is still racial tension here, but for the most part it was a town we would go back to in a heart beat, it was so pretty there. We walked for miles, and still didn't see all the things.  The riverfront is more than beautiful, I only put on a fraction of the pictures I took.  The flowers were so pretty, one bunch, a pale lavender, looked like dandelionpuffs, they were soft too 'cuz I touched 'em!
There was so much more, but guess this is enough for now.  Soo, keep the fuzz off'n yer chin, except you Bill Keefer, keep smilin' and thankin' the good Lord for another day!  Till next time, Hugs, prayers and smiles, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
