Mt Rushmore and Custer, SD

Howdy, here are the guys with the big heads, and are they awesome!  The museum there showed how some of the guys building these, walked without wires or anything else, OSHA, eat your heart out, although I wouldn't wanna do it!!Here This fella is talking to Bill, not in the least bit happy that we had no burro food, saah~ry, will do better next time!  We met lots of critters, this prong horn being one of them, we were almost this close, not even a cars length away, he finally got nervous and took off, don't blame him, dumb humans anyway! And here is a side view of old George himself.  After what we leaned about his choppers, am glad his mouth was shut, how about you folks!!Bill and I saw so many of these guys, use to live across the street from a huge herd, but here we didn't have to smell 'em, they taste good, but they smell BAD!This was the wolf village, you were invited in to see them, we didn't go, wondered if the buffalo wandered near there, hmmmm.......There were so many tunnels carved out of the mountains in the 30's, we went through them all.  The double tunnel, that was fun, then the eye of the needle, can't understand why Sweet William didn't think Whody would go through there, it was tall enough, but really, really narrow. The next one down, if you look reealy close, you can see Mt. Rushmore. What a hoot! This was the jail in Custer, wouldn't like to be in there,  to dark, below is a sign telling a little about it. Funny, huh?Hey, who dis?  It's Dino from the Flintstones, he was the last one we expected to see in Custer, SD.  Saw Wilma and Fred too, they even had houses, WOW, and I thought they weren't real!!!These crazy ducks, this was the top of the falls, put the whole falls on so you could see how high it was, but it went where so many things go on my computer, bye, bye, kinda like unmatched socks!  Any way, these ducks stood there and were eating something, not even thinking about how high they were, birdbrains perhaps??This was the coolest Fort, sorry, been to long, can't remember the name of it, but glad I didn't have to live there, it looked so small to us, but am sure it was big to the Indians that saw it. Whody is bigger inside than most of those cabins  were, lots purtier too! Just look at her, all set up to relax and enjoy our selves at an Eagle bus rally. Now if this isn't cute, it couldn't have been more than a few days old, it was laying beside the road, Mama was busy getting something to eat, and I was just this close, Mama saw I was too close, turned around and "talked" to her baby, it immediately got up and walked to her.  It was so sweet. Loved it!!!! Custer, SD was a cool little town, we drove all over, just enjoying the ambiance,(good word, huh), loved the name of this place.  Along with all different kinds of decorated Buffalo downtown, we found these guys in the yard of a private home, all dressed up and no place to go!Well folks, If I had put on here all the pictures I wanted, you'd never get anything done.  Had a few more on here but OOOPS, gone???? A couple of dead spaces, huh????? Well glory be, where did this 2nd picture come from?  Found my missing sock!  Ignore the picture, OK?So for this time, Happy Trails to you, yeh, I'm old, hugs & Prayers to ya!  Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy.
