Hi everyone, hey, you thought we had dropped off the end of the earth, well not literally, but sorta, figuratively!  Bill worked his tail feathers off getting Whody back together, whiles I held down the fort, and believe you me, that is 'zactly what I meant, in both cases!
We are now back on the road, sitting in a park near Washington DC, and both are so    excited we could spit, and spittin' ain't nice ya know!!...........  We left North Carolina, hot, tired
& kinda cranky, got about 45miles away, pulled into a campground with electricity, water & sewer, cranked up both airs, went back to the bedroom and proceeded to go to sleep for a couple of hours.  Bill got up, and bless his little peapickin' heart, just HAD to wash Whody.  You could almost here her sigh when he was done, she was Really dirty!!!  We spent the next few days just resting, then headed for the Blue Ridge Parkway.  It was really beautiful, but we were a bit disappointed, unlike the Natchez Trace, there was very little history, and where there was, we couldn't get Whody off the road to look at it.  Very sad.  We did get to stop at what they called a Craft house, and watched them do pottery, glass blowing and other things like that, but we had to put Whody in the middle of the parking lot, and that upset a few folks, but only a few.
To make a long story short, when we reached the 300 marker there was a Music school, we stopped there and listen to a couple play wonderful music, then at the first opportunity got off the Parkway.  Whiles pulling off  onto the regular freeway, we heard something in the back go "CRASH", but couldn't stop, so just kept going.  When we stopped for the night and went to the back, low and behold, one of my  earring trays had hit the floor spilling them all over the floor, and the dog food also went flying........you thought it spilled all over didn't you, but nope, praise the Lord, those good old coffee containers still had their lids on!   WHEW!!!!!!
Anyway, all in all we are doing well again, and although I can only put pictures, 3 or 4 at a time from Picaso, my daughter is trying to figure it out, thank you Sweet Donna, I am gona write to you about our adventures anyway.  If I hadn't been so upset about no pictures, I would have done it sooner, DUH.... What    can I say ?those who know me know I was born blonde!!!
So until the next adventure, this is blondie, signing off,  Smiles, hugs & prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
