YEEHAW Mississippi!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US, 47 years and counting!!!! Well, we finally made it to the muddy Mississippi, and are heading to the Natchez Trace, a 445mile road with NO big trucks, and it goes to Nashville,Tn. as well as into other states, will tell you about those when we get there!
This will be sorta a small blog, said sorta, only 12 pictures, but hopefully in the next few days I can get pictures of Natchez,as well as ones on the Trace.
This is the view from our campground, you only have to walk about half a block and wah~lah there she is, the Mighty Mississippi, and she is so exciting!

Here is where Whody is resting , although we are really in Vidalia,La, just across that bridge you saw is good old Natchez,Miss. There is a walking path along the river that Bill and I walk on, and in our journey we found this wonderful little bus, we'd even have an upstairs, now who could beat that???? Looks like its little eyes are shut and its little tongue is hanging out, but maybe some day someone will rescue him.

This is a house we found in Natchez, no, don't think it's a VooDoo house, just think the owner may be a little bonkers like me, there was sure a lot of "stuff" all around that house, but all was clean and well kept.

We found this cute little gate house that is also part of a bed and breakfast, by going down a road that said "dead end" Bill LOVES these roads, sometimes it gets us in very interesting situations, but this time it lead to real beauty like the one below. I talked to her all the time I was taking her picture, and you could tell she was loved because she nickered to me the whole time. What a sweetheart!

Found this cool grave yard, and this caught our eye. Most of the soldiers were "unknown", there were only about 4 head stones with names on them, kinda sad.

Then we found this, no names, just KLEIN on a set of steps, go figure, we're gona be buried under the steps so we can get walked on! Oh well I'll be with the Lord, NO PROBLEM!!!!!

This always amazes us, that they are really above ground, although we found a lot of them just regular. There were so many flowers in this grave yard, it was really pretty, but wouldn't ya know, I didn't get a picture of THAT!!! They had a Jewish section, a Catholic section, a black section, everybody was sectioned off like a grapefruit, really different!!!!

This is ONE of many, we counted 15 in our ride, of Baptist churches in Natchez, not all were near this pretty tho. "Pretty is as Pretty does" as they say.

And this is what we see every night, sometimes 3 & 4 a night, this one was pushing 18 barges up the river, Whoa, it is great here!
Well, said it was short, pictures going on really slow, have lotz more stuff from Natchez, will try tomorrow night again.
We are so excited to FINALLY be heading for the Trace, so come on along, we need friends to go with us!
Smiles, Love & Hugs to all of you from us 3, Arlette & Bill too, and the pouty Sassy. She had to stay home, sniff!
