Hello, are you ready for all of this?? First of all, for those of you who are wondering if Bill had a good birthday, just keep goin' down! Above is Bills birtday cake, it is suppose to be down below, but OH WELL, Donna made him a GermanChocolate Cake, his very favorite!

Here He is on the phone with one of the kids or grandkids, that made his day cause He loves hearing from them!!

Then next, He got a lot of attention from some gals that are at the Mission, Donna,(standing), Shelby to her left, and our friend Carol. Is Bill spoiled??? Keep goin' down!!

Not only did I fix his favorite cassarole,(also known as shepards pie), and the Klein fruit salad, but the gals fixed a salad, rolls and.......what you saw above, the cake!

You are looking at the NEW WHODY>>>>>>> JUST KIDDING!!!! This is a VanWhool bus that Bill was drooling over, but life is to short to start over,(thank you Lord)

Upside down Border Patrol, don't know why! We were surprised to see one so far from the border!

Now we are in CorpusChristi,TX., saying goodbye to Sass for the day, she is saying HEY, where ya goin' without me??? To hot out for her, sorry girl!

Here we are in the Gulf again, we were amazed at the length of the beach and beauty of this area.

They have seagulls too, but they look altogether different, maybe they are really Gulf Gulls, do ya think??? They are just as obnoxious tho.!

This was a beautiful sailboat we saw as we were walking out on the jetty, it was about 80* with a nice breeze, PERFECT!!!!

There were lotz of these little guys playing on the beach, in the picture below, you can see the "sand balls" this kid made, and had a ball throwing them as if they were snowballs, it was fun watching them play.

This was an amazing Jetty we walked out on, the big boulders you see on each side were all granite, they were really sparkly and pretty.

This kid stepped out on the boulders just when a big wave came in , he came back soaking wet, and laughing like crazy, Oh the joy of youth!!! He was with a bunch of other kids and they were laughing just as hard!

These are all granite boulders from here on out, there were people fishing all the way to the end, no, we didn't go to the end , the boulders got farther apart as you went out.

I tried to get Bill to go out and get wet, He didn't think I was even REMOTELY funny! He's no fun!

Here he comes back from chasing the cutest little bird down the beach,he gave up when the bird flew away. It was really little and its little feet were flying across the sand! Was gona buy a bird book to tell you what it was, as usual I forgot, sorry!!

k

This looked like the Klein bunch about 30yrs ago, except we had a Scout!

OH NO, flying fish!!!! Actually it is a kite, we saw many of them in all sizes and shapes!

This was what we presumed to be kids on a Senior trip, there were a Zillion of 'em everywhere!

This is the marker where we went off the beach, each marker is 1/10th of a mile, starting at 1. It was an incredibly long beach, you could chose to be where everyone else was, or be by yourself, can't do that on the Oregon coast, AND..... the water is so warm, Amazing!!
However, you had to pay to park on the beach, $12 a season.

Here you see only a few of the many Pelicans(their beaks can hold more than their belly can) that flew over as we drove down the beach, they fly slow and easy, no hurry. HEY....just like us, SLOW & EASY!!!!!

By then it was time to eat, so we chose this cute little cafe and went in.
The sign below just cracked us up, smoking and nonsmoking was just a step apart. Surprised us too, because most places are all nonsmoking.

Can anybody tell me what a "DRUM" fish is?? The waitress couldn't, only that it was a filet, and it was a white fish. Guess I better buy a fish book too!!

Here is the Fish & Chips, it was really, really good! Although it looks peppery, it wasn't, it was another spice instead, and was YUMMY. NO....Bill actually had fish & chips too, can you believe that???? NO CHEESEBURGER!!!!!!!

We Loved this shark, and went into the store. The shark was great, the store was NOT!! The music was so loud you couldn't even talk to each other, so we didn't stay long, only bought some postcards to send, then headed out, GLADLY!!!!!!!

Then saw this cute little Octopus on top of the building and just couldn't resist taking its picture!!

Here we are on the "FREE" ferry. It took us off of Mustang Island, and was about a 5minute ride.

We both cracked up when we saw this! Yes, there is a Portland, Texas, pretty cool, huh?? Not near as big a Portland, Oregon tho!

And here we are, back home to Whody and Sassy, safe and sound. Whew, what a day, we were both tired but very happy to have seen everything! Sooo.... Until next time, Smiles, Love & Prayers to Ya'll from us. Arlette & Bill too, and the lonely Sassy
