Hey, that's how some Texans say hello! You are looking at the Corpus Christi Aquarium, that's where our blog will be today. So keep going down and I hope you enjoy the journey!
It was warm, and the wind was howling, but we felt "brave", so decided to eat outside anyway. Here you see a grilled shrimp Po'Boy and pasta salad, both were so yummy, the shrimp were HOT, not spicy, that was my order, always like to get something different, and as you see the next picture, yep, you guessed it! Bill is eating a cheeseburger! All the things on the menu looked a little too "risky"for him and his standard worked pretty good. Poor guy, I always pick on him, but He knows I love him!!!!!

Here you see a picture of the USS Lexington, it is the ship that Bills brother Chuck served on in the late 50's. That is another blog, just too much for one, the last 2 blogs have been huge, so will do this in 2 parts. This was the view from our little outside cafe on the beach at Corpus Christi.
<<<<<<<<
This was a beautiful Manta Ray, I was sure he was looking at me, see those eyes?
Bill and I were both fooled by this guy, He is sorta pretty, but I took his picture because he was a bit chubby, felt a kinship I guess!! HA HA!! He is really a piranha, we have seen them before but NEVER this big! Go ahead stick your fingers in the tank kids, ya only need 2 or 3 to write or color with! (Just kidding) Hope you know that already!!!!
Hey you guys, give me a break, after all I am nocturnal and need my sleep! This is a prehensile tailed Porcupine, and he was very annoyed that folks kept waking him up! All you folks out there look up "prehensile", and tell me what it means. OK?

I had never seen one of these until today
they are amazing, the reason I like them? These are seahorses, and the male has the babies, pretty cool, huh gals!! See how they hold on with their tail, they let go, but just to go a small distance, then grab on again, they are so cute! This bottom picture is all babies.
Speaking of babies, look at this cutie!
The wind was ferocious, and this little girl was so cute, don't you love the hair? When the wind died down she would smile at us, such a cutiepie, and a really good baby.

Loved this shirt, I guess 'cause we are sorta on Island time too!!!

This was a robin fish, it was really pretty, but my camera didn't pick it up, I liked the "wings", guess that is how it got its name.

THEN: We went to see these beautiful and amazing creatures, the dolphins. Before the show started, some little kid threw a program in the water. Right away one of them grabbed it, but in less then 10sec., there were 8 handlers out, blowing whistles and making gestures to them, JC, the one who picked it up, took it over to the handler, here they are thanking us for our applause, aren't they adorable??
This guy LOVED his rubber ducky, he even quacked like a duck, it was so funny!!

YEEE~~~HAW look at me!!!! You can see the handler in the left corner with her hand up, and all the audience had their hands up as well, breathtaking. Had lots more pictures of this, but sure don't want to bore ya!!

I got so excited about this guy, he looks just like Crush, on finding Nemo, and had the same personality to boot. He was sorta saying "Chill man, ever thing is cool". He even floated on his back for a ways, I couldn't help but laugh, it tickled me so. Had already been called weird, that is in tomorrows blog, but you know me, I am just myself, and Bill is use to it after all these years!!!

Just before we left, I got to TOUCH a Manta ray. I thought it would feel kinda like a shark, sorta hard, but it actually felt like an Octopus real soft and squishy. Cool.........

Tomorrow night I will put all the pictures of the USS Lexington, on here, well, not ALL, but quite a few. Sooo.... Come on back tomorrow and find out what happened to us today that made it so we only drove 21 miles! We're fine, but you come back. "K"?

We don't always go to Aquariums, but this had a lot of fish and stuff you only see in the gulf of Mexico or in other Tropical countries, so we thought it would be fun. It was, but the Aquarium in Newport is just as good, even without dolphins!
Then we headed home, over the bridge below. Boy was our Sassy ready to see us, she was really lonesome and about wagged her tiny tail off!!!!

Love, Smiles & Prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sweet Sassy
