BLAH BLAH,BLAH,BLAH, blah, blah

Well ya'll, I am SOOO disappointed that no one tried to guess what this was. No one that is except my Granddaughter Maurica. Good Job!! So,although it looks like a potty chair, it is in reality a pressure cooker! There are 2 stones in the bottom of each hole, you set them on the stove or, if you are in TX., out in the hot sun, then when they get good and hot,you put the rocks in the bottom of each hole, they had a special thing to do this with, then put the pan with the food, inside and close the lid. There was a relief valve that moved just like a regular pressure cooker, and when it slowed down you knew your food was done. Now in my estimation, that took talent. Either I would forget how hot those rocks had to be, or somethin' or other and use the thing as a double holer in the night so I didn't have ta go out side! Actually it was amazing to think they had something like this!
Now, we are in Pharr,TX again, at our friend Carols, and will be here for about 3wks to a month, so you may not hear a lot from me. I have lotz of pictures to put on and will do that in the next few days, have been up in the hills away from connections, sorry, I do love ya'll, honest!
We have been to 3 different forts in our travels, Fort Stockton, Fort Davis,Fort Clark, and also went to the John Wayne movie set out of Fort Clark, where he made the movie 'The Alamo', we passed up Fort Duncan, we were forted out you might say!! No pun intended! I am gona try to put some of the pictures on, they are such amazing places. Bill and I tried to imagine ourselves living in these places, out in the middle of nowhere, dusty, dirty, HOT, Indians all around just waiting to get your scalp, etc.,etc., and decided we are dumb enough, we would have just HAD to go west!!!!Sorry, can't help ourselves, and we both have such thick heads the Indians would have given up and left us alone!!! Ha!
I know that compared to all the problems we had last trip out, this time we are a bit dull, and we LOVE it this way! Have had a few incidents, one time in New Mexico, we saw an off ramp, and we wanted to eat lunch, so Bill herds Whody off the highway and "WHUMP",the whole inside of Whody shook, Bill & I lost our teeth, well, not really, and the Sassy Yelped! You know how they put the rough stuff on a road before they blacktop it?, well that is what we drove onto, with about a 4" drop. Now our Whody girl, she isn't much higher off the ground than that, and it really shook her to the core. We stopped and checked everything, Whody was fine, but our coffee pot had moved, and thank the good Lord I put my eggs in a plastic container, 'cause 4 of them were broken, at least it wasn't MY fault this time, and all the books on the back shelves in the bedroom were strewn all over the floor! Nothing was hurt, but a sign would have been nice!!!
Ruby, you stay away from the computer for this one, TRUST ME, you won't like it! Just before we got into Laredo, TX., we stopped to potty Sassy, I jumped out with her on her leash, went around the table, and if I hadn't just gone potty, I would have then! There was a rattler about 3ft long and quite big around, I started back peddling crying "oh my, oh my,oh my, and RAN back to the bus, Literally throwing SASSY in, but upon checking it out, the snake was dead as a door nail, and someone had even taken the rattles off! YUCK After our lesson that they don't ALWAYS rattle before they strike, I ran like one of those road runners. You didn't think I could move that fast, did you??(Bill checked it out, NOT ME!!) We spent last night in a Wal~Mart in Laredo, Tx., and it was really weird, No other RV's were there and it was sort of Eerie, so we stopped the Security Guard, and he said it was perfectly safe, and that they run Security constantly from midnight until 8am. We slept fine and here we are all safe and bundled up in Whody in Pharr, Tx. It doesn't pay to be afraid, but it does pay to watch your back!
Well in saying that, am gona close for now, Love Prayers & Smiles, and extra Prayers for you Ruby! Arlette & Bill and the Sassy
