Tell me, what do ya do when you have to wait another day to get your AC fixed? Ya pray and ask God to make it "Just a little, cooler, please, and He Did!! It rained like all Billy here today, thunder and lightnin', WHOO~~EEEE. The Sassy thought for sure somethin' was gona get her, so I held her close as I watched, with GLEE I might add, the rain falling so hard you could hardly see the street! One of the ladies said the news said it wasn't gona rain, but told her I really needed it as my web feet were drying up. At first she just looked at me like I was looney, but when I told her I was from OREGUN, she just howled!" Well darlin', if that's what'ul keep ya here in Texas, then let 'er rian!"(no it is NOT spelled wrong).
We couldn't go to far, the repairman was coming at 2pm, so we just went on what we call a little 'Adventure'. That usually means we are so lost we feel we may never find home again, but eventually we do, and just have a ball doing it! We came to this mall in the middle of who knows where, and I screamed, THERE'S A DOLLAR TREE, STOP!!!, Bill almost hits a car getting into the mall, and he sees a Home Depot, so taking a chance to get away from each other for a while, I drop him off at HD, and head for the Dollar Tree, what he didn't know was that I also saw a Target Super store, heh, heh, heh. I Zoomed to the dollar tree, didn't really need anything, but ya can't leave with out buying something. Then moved the car, it was 10:30am and already 89* out (see why I prayed for rain??),and headed for the Target Superstore, not knowing what the heck Super Store meant, went to check on a few items, and finding them waaay beyond what I was willing to pay, I headed for the Super part, but had spent a lot of time in the $tree and was feeling sorta guilty, so bypassed that and headed for the car. I saw that Bill had been there and was gone again, so decided to drive back to the $tree to see if he was there, Nope, maybe in Petco, nope, I spent about half hour driving around, wondering if I had lost him forever, remember the song "He'll never return, no he'll never return, and his fate is still unknown, poor old Charley",well, Willy, really, that song was going through my mind, when low and behold there was this cute, skinny legged ole fellar in the middle of the road just wavin' like mad. Decided it would be a good thing to pick him up, and we started out again, only to find, about 5miles down the road, that IF I had gone where I wanted to go in the first place, that is where he was looking for me, where the food was, the moral is DON'T FEEL GUILTY,just do what you want, next time I will cause I still don't know about the Super part of Target,RATZ! As you can tell we made it back home, only to find out our AC needs a new mother board, and the feller told Bill, and I quote, "It will be in sometime tomarra, I'll get back whin I ken", and he drove away, didn't get any money down, didn't give us any idea of what time or nuthin', crazy! So our trip to Grapevine,Tx will be when we get the AC fixed. In the meantime we are enjoying the pool, the store, and tomorrow morning I will be "enjoying" the laundry room, and Thurs. will be heading in the direction of Grapevine for a day, then on to Jefferson. Karen & Destry, if you are reading our blog, we will get there, just ask some of these folks that were disbelieving at first, HA,HA. It takes us longer than the average bear to walk across the street, right??
We spent the latter part of the evening sitting on our cement patio, enjoying the 78* weather with a nice breeze. Ya gotta love it, we are retired and have not had as much enjoyment, just being together, doing nothing, ever!!!! We did go on another "adventure",to find a DQ ,but YIPPEE, we did make it back and saw a lot of Arlington, Texas in the process. We thought it was a small town, but has a population of over 349thousand! Sorry, no pictures tonight, Mrs. braindead forgot to take her camera! Well folks, that was the the extent of our day, and it was my privilege to share it with all of you! Love to all and Smiles, Arlette & Bill too, and scaredy cat Sassy
