Arrrrggggg Matey, come on along!

I just loved the sign above, so had to take the opportunity to show it to you, not a common sign, is it????    Sweet William and Bob really liked this boat, it was a wooden boat, and they were refurbishing it. Pretty.

How about this matey?  Would ya love ta travel many a nautical miles in this?  Not me, I know, I live in a tin can, but at least I can see daylight!  I so admire the folks who can live and work in these things!!
Wow, a real pirate ship, look at all the rigging and sails and STUFF, you could be a real pirate on this!  We were down at the San Diego Bay, and found these few ships and submarines, what a delight to think that they actually sailed on that big old ocean!
How about that lion head, you will see another similar to that, but the best part is the cannons, BOOM, down goes a lesser ship, go climb aboard and pilfer! ( I guess that's what they do, not sure!)
Another Sub, Cindy and I decided that it looked like it was made out of paper machete it was so old.  Amazing!!!!
Below, if you can read, out comes the magnifying glass, is the Star of India.  What a magnificent craft it was!
Just look at her, she is a beauty for sure!  And her lady is all in white so you can't miss her.  Beautiful!!!

She also had a lion, although a little gentler look on his face, don't you think?  We had such fun walking up and down the boardwalk looking at these magnificent things, Hard to believe that the Star of India was launched in 1863, has sailed around the world 21 times and still looks this good!  She has had good crews that were proud of her and took care of her!Another look at the bay, isn't it gorgeous??  It was about 70*, sorry Carol, it was great and we are extremely glad to be here! ha ha
Got another one coming, maybe even 2, so come on back and see us, we love your visits! Until the next time we swab the decks or shoot the cannons,   Hugs, Prayers and Smiles! Arlette & Bill too, and the sad Sassy.  she had to stay home!
