Before Whodys Reunion

Hi! Got so excited about Whodys Reunion, forgot to show you about how we got there. The first picture was when we started out, along side the road were ga~zillions of morning glory's, smaller than what I was familiar with, but really pretty.
Here is the Sassy, sniffing all the good smells at the Park we stayed at in Robstown, nice park, and we were told that in the winter,(Jan.,Feb.,Mar.) the park is full, and it is $475 a month, that doesn't include electricity, YIKES!!! But it had a beautiful inside pool,Hot tub,as well as free bikes you could borrow if you don't own one, to ride around the park. They have something going on almost every day of the week, and the best part, it is just off the bay that leads to the Gulf of Mexico, and it is Beautiful. We found it in our book, and because of all the "Stuff" I told Bill I bet it was at least $40. a night, turned out it was only $25, nice surprise!!!

Glory Be, did we take a wrong turn and end up in Iowa?, Naw, just the name of a town. In our travels, we have been amazed at the names that are the same as other towns or states. Makes it fun to sorta watch!

Seems like everywhere you go in Texas or Louisiana, ya gotta 'Cross over the Bridge', that's because when it rains, and it does rain, no Oregon mist here, the gullys fill up and you can't go anywhere.
Saw some of that rain the last day of Whodys reunion, we were "sogged" out, to say the least!
Doesn't this look good to all you Diesel people? We see this every once in a while, and do our best to get into that place and fuel up. Now we are once again seeing $2.09 to $2.19, still not to bad tho.! You can bet we are a LOT more careful of where we put our Sweet Whody, Bill says He's gettin' to old to be diggin' her out, but things happen, so we just "go with the flow", and thank God everyday for our safety!

Here she is, all shiny & purty, we were headed for the water for the afternoon.

Isn't this just a kick??? Loved that name, and saw several after this. We were driving by and I said to Bill, "Who Dat", and He said "Who?, then saw the sign and we both just cracked up!!!

Talk about beautiful, yowza, you can't really tell, but the tower and the circular stairway were both made from the most beautiful rock I had ever seen. It was being built, and we thought maybe they were gonna rock the other tower as well, maybe we will be back there someday to see.
We saw this old Mercedes in our wanderings, it was really weird, it was original, but on top of it was a fiberglass shell, it had been sitting a looong time, kinda sad, somebodies dream gone awry!

Some days I don't think I've got the brains God gave a goose!! This belongs with the last picture. They sell these in all the donut shops down here, we noticed them last year but didn't have the guts to try, well let me tell you, 2009 is the year of trying new stuff! It is sorta like a corn dog, but it is wrapped in bread. You can get them with jalapenos, sausage, many different ways, but we just got cheese dogs, and they were YUMMY!!

Picture this: A housing project on the water!! There is a lot of this down here too, and they were amazingly beautiful, these are NOT houseboats, but HUGE homes with their own marinas, such a different world down here, can't wait to go to Florida!!!

Once again we ran into Pelicans, I tried to get a better picture, but the little boogers were faster than I was. The next picture you see it is lunchtime, and these guys were fishing for it! We watched them for quite a while, and every time they came up with their "bills" full. Amazing birds!

Gotcha, gona eatcha!!!!!!

Can you tell I love birds, rocks and water???? There is so much of it here and I LOVE every bit of it!!!

Now here is the donut shop, and you can see our "dog lunch", course we just HAD to have a donut as well! You will be glad to know that we don't do this often, but there are days that we can't resist! They had donuts at the Rally every morning, and we dutifully ate Oatmeal, except for one morning, not bad for us! 'Specially when you see the next blog. Some things are made NOT to resist!
Well folks, this one is small, but wanted to show you what goes on in our life daily, we almost always drive around the small towns and enjoy staring at all the cool stuff! That's the joy in all this, we see cool things and meet cool folks, and we wouldn't trade it for anything, just wish you could all be with us, what a party we would have!!!!!!
So until next time, Love,Prayers & Smiles, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy
