Quartzsite, Arizona, is one of a kind, let me tell you! They told me that the town is quiet now, but in Dec. & Jan. there are so many people here you can't even find a place to park, even in the desert. (Put a picture in of that) We tried to make reservations for Jan. at this park, and the lady just laughed and ask if we were joking. Well, guess so, Heh,Heh. Even today you can spend 8 hours going from vendor to vendor, some with cool stuff, some with not so cool stuff, and some with REALLY cool stuff that this gal couldn't resist, (SMILE), but all in all, I didn't do to bad, Bill only said "do you really NEED that" once!!! 'Course I NEED it, why did He ask????
In one of the pictures are our friends Gary & Jan from Missouri, met them just down from Sacramento, and when we got here, there they were, and they had met some friends here, Don & Jill, from Indiana, and it has been so fun, we have gone out to eat a couple of times, went to a place called "Sweet Darlenes" sorry, no picture, where you all sit at long tables and get to know your neighbor, really a good place and the food was pretty good too! Gary & Jan live near Branson, and said that if we get their way, they will show us around their area. They live on a beautiful lake, and yes, I SAW pictures, and she said it was really warm and we can just go "Noodeling" all afternoon. Oh how fun, "What the heck is Noodeling" says I. Well it seems that you buy these long tube things at Wal~Mart and sit on them in the lake, new to me, so guess I will just HAVE to talk the man into going that direction, do ya think??
The jet is one of 2 placed in front of a playground that the folks here call the "Freedom Garden", pretty awesome, and they have neat houses, lotz of cacti, some funnier lookin' than others, (sorta like people) , lots, made just for your motor coach, 5th wheel, bus, trailer, or whatever you have so you can stay in this warm, blue skied town, but they aren't big on grocery stores, so everything is pretty high priced here, that's OK, I stocked up before we got here, so take that!!!
We will be here until Monday morning, then are headed for Yuma, yes Dot, we are finally gona get there and I can hardly wait to see it. From there.....who knows, but we are headed for Pharr, I THINK anyway! Gotcha, yeah, we are!!! Meantime, it is past my bedtime, almost 11pm, and tomorrow is another day! For those folks back in the cold, I will think of you as we ride into the sunrise on Monday, and hope the cold goes away soon!
Gotta go for now, smiles,Love & Prayers, 'specially to you Ruby~Duby, Arlette & Bill, too, and the Happy Sassy
~
