This is a cross section of it see the sections, and in the middle is where grows
the spine. In each bloom are millions of little seeds, very few get germinated and grow.
This is the spine of the huge Saguaro Cactus, kinda like their backbone.
This was LULU, can't you just hear her? ACK...don't touch me, I AM BEE-U-TEE-FUL,They even put me in a pot, Don't touch me!!!!
Went to a lecture on Gila monsters, pronounced "Hee-la", and rattlesnakes. As you can see we sat waaay in the back. Did you know that it is up to the snake if he wants to rattle before he bites you? Big of him don't you think?

The birds on each side are humming birds. We went into a bird sanctuary just for hummers, and one of the little devils dived bombed me, sounded like a jet fighter plane! Pretty cool!!
The "Totem" and "Saguaro", pronounced (sah-waho-roh)with the bloom, Cactus. The totem was really "lumpy"!

This is the "creeping devil", even cacti have a devil! Just kidding!! They just looked lazy to me!Cacti,Palmer agave, you should have seen the looks on peoples face when they saw me "leaning" against it taking this picture! Looks cool tho.
This little guy sat in this tree and we just talked back and forth for the longest time, his voice was so pretty, hope he thought the same about mine!!

This was the greatest demonstration ever. There were 4 different birds, and they flew all around among the people, even on the ground and up into the cactus. Each had a "pecking order" as they were all of one family and the oldest one always got the "best
landing spot". Pays to be the oldest, Huh?????
This was a Arizona Trout, had the coloring of our rainbow, but not the rainbow, and tried to get his face, He had a big zit on his nose!!!! Time for Clearasil!!
Leaving the museum they had these cute little hedge hogs, they were made of brass!
Baily had at least 9 arms, so directions for him were kind of a "NOT", but all arms reached to Heaven, that is a GOOD thing!!
Bill stopped to ask directions from Wally, but everything he asked was answered with "as the woodpecker flys", guess that's cactus talk for a few miles??
This was Jonesy, he hollared,"Hey, welcome to the desert, so glad yer here!" Silly boy, he was still doin' the Macarena!
Here is the family of cacti that waved at us as we went by, can't ya hear 'em?
This was the road we went on to get there!!

This was one of the "side stops" after we went to the museum, this was built by the CCC, many of you know what that was. It was built around the late 30's early 40's by young men ages 18-25, who were willing to send $25 of their $30 monthly income home to their familys. How many young people would do that now???
Well folks, that is all for tonight, hope you aren't yawning by now, but there is just sooo much, and it seems, as Bill says "I just love it all", and He is right, I do!
Love, Prayers,& smiles to all, Arlette & Bill too, and unhappy Sassy, she had to stay home, animals !
