And
here is the story I started to tell you about last night, this sign was sitting almost at the check~in and waay off the road! After much moaning and groaning from Whody AND Bill, we made it out and headed for the next mess of a place they called an RVpark! Well folks, hope you can make out this mess, it sure is confusin' sometimes! We are doing well, are 25 miles from Sacramento, California, sitting in a Wal~mart parkin' lot and happy as two pigs in slop!!Until next time, keep
your spirits up, smile a lot, and keep movin' along! See ya, Arlette & Bill too, and the sweet Sassy

Just a small part of the drive through this magnificent forest, it was beyond amazing!!!!!!!

There be 'the man', he was coming back from a little walk, saw me in
Whody with the camera, and just Had to pose!!!!

This poor guy, not only did he look perplexed, notice his rifle, if he decides to shoot, he is in BIG trouble, maybe he best see a gunsmith, do ya think????

THE BAR' went over the Mount~~ oops sorry, not this one, he was just standing there looking weird!! Somebody is good with a chainsaw, huh??

These little houses made of logs were so cute, thought I would put a cute little boy in them, and there He is, Sweet William!!

Here was the kid stump, and being a big kid myself, I just had to go in, it was really fun, but I didn't have anyone to play
wif'!!

I was standing inside and looking up, pretty cool picture if ya ask me, but ya didn't ask, did ya????

This was called the "Shrine Tree", and as you can see, there is a car driving through it, I thought the people were
nutz!! It looked like the "SHRINE" was about to fall over! They had cables holding it up, but, we faithfully walked through it, and it was
waay cool!!

Stopped in a little town called Meyers Flat, and there, in the street was this sweet little dog, He
just lifted his head when we stopped, and then went back to sleep again, eventually traffic got to much for him and he moved, but just barely on the other side of the line, "It's MY road and I ain't
movin"!

This is where we stopped to have lunch, to bad you folks weren't with us, there was a really cool river just down the hill, we
coulda went for a swim first, and had lunch later, a regular party!!

The three of us had walked way back on a path in the woods, and I just knew we were lost fer sure, when
YEE~HAW there was
Whody in all her
splendor, just
waitin' for us!

Thought it would be fun to aim my camera up towards the top of the tree to show how tall they really are,
wellllll, turned my back on it and leaned
waay back, and just before I fell on my
hiney, I snapped this picture, not bad, if I say so myself!!!

Laura & James
Mahan are the ones responsible for saving all these magnificent trees, sometimes tree
huggers are good, right????

The burls on the trees were incredible, some had huge ferns, but most looked like this one, kinda
yuckky if ya ask me, kinda like a big ugly wart!

Ya know those days when all you wanna do is crawl in a hole, well folks, I found the perfect place, and it went down a
loooong way, you would never be found in there!!

Here

are some pictures from the bee-u-ti-
ful Redwoods, Highway of the Giants, and let me tell you, they was
waaaay bigger than any giant I ever want to meet!!! Never thought I'd be a tree hugger, but this
badboy just made me wanna HUG him, I LOVE IT when things are bigger than me, just wish he
coulda hugged me back, I probably
woulda had to clean out my jeans if he had!!!!

This picture shows how exciting it was in 1906 to travel from Eureka to San Francisco, it only took a little over 20 Hours,
Whoo Hoo, put on your
speedo and let's go folks!! You guys are just
gona have to
figger out all this, sorry, One picture I
thought it would be fun to get inside a tree and take a picture out, pretty cool, even if I did hate getting into that big hole, there was plenty room for me AND a big ole bear! Bill and the Sass really look small in this old rotted tree, Sass loved it, but Bill had to grunt to get up into it, and I had to threaten him to get him to smile!!
The mural was taken as we left Eureka, LOVED the
giraffe! these were all over town, but because of the animals I chose this one, someone was really talented! Notice who is largest,it's the crafty fox!!
