Me in the gift shop "steerin' the big boat, oops, ship"! Whiles on the ship I asked one of the older fellas if any of them had served time on this "BOAT" Oh y, wrong thing to say, "Young Lady,"I liked that
, do you know the difference between a Ship and a boat? Gulp, a Ship can carry a boat, but a boat can-not carry a ship! OKAY?? Yep. None of them had served on this SHIP, but there was a 93yr. old on there that had. He was so excited, but had tears in his eyes remembering all the lost comrades. Sorta Sad.

My honey just HAD to climb it, isn't he a kick??

This was a tower leading out to the ship.
USS KIDD from the dock.

USS KIDD from the dock.
A look at the stern wheeler just down from the ship, it was really a casino, it goes NOWHERE, pity.
A look at Baton Rouge from the ship!
Looking down the side of the ship, this was AWESOME!

The BIG galley further down in the ship, it had ovens and all the stuff ya needed.
These were original to the ship and they were really locked up tight!

The Galley, very small, but am sure it worked well.
This was where the Officers ate, pretty nice huh?

Sweet William, going down the hole! Me next, GULP!
OH MY, looks like sardines in a can, can you identify Bill? I would not like to be confined here unless I was so tired I would go to sleep Immediately. And it as very hot, I am sure there was some air here during war time. It makes me admire these fellers a WHOLE LOT MORE than before.

This was evidently an officers quarters, Lotz of room!
This was in the Museum on the bottom of the ship, by this time I was sweatin' and sick to my stomach, my claustrophobia had taken over, and Bill took these, I didn't go down there!

All kinds of stuff they don't tell ya about, but it is ALL in these cramped little areas
!
If ya look close you can see Bill shootin', like he was born go it!

They had so many guns, guess that's why it was a battleship, right?
It was awesome standing on the deck looking up
