Pharr,Pharr Away

Well Howdy ya'll, I'd say it in a different lingo, but don't speak that Amexican stuff. I don't have any pictures, left my camera in our friends house, so will put some on later. We are now in Pharr, Texas, a looooong way from NOWHERE, and the cockroaches are HUGE!!!! If I can get a picture I will, they are everywhere, and don't necessarily wait for the dark to come out, just like all the folks from across de boarder, HOLY MOLY, went to Wal~mart , couldn't get in the door, and the parking lot was interesting too, 90% were licenses from Mexico. Soo, because you couldn't even get a cart, we just turned around and came home. Will give 'er a go tomorrow!
Can't say much about this place except I am sooo glad I don't live here, and after a short visit with our friend Carol Brown, we are out of here and headed toward the NW territory! Tomorrow reads 100*, just too blamed hot for me , 'specially with the humidity hitting 70%. EEEWE!!!
We did have a really good time in San Antonio, the River walk was amazing, we took a boat ride down the river, actually took it twice, ate BBQ at the County Line Restaurant on the river, and saw the Alamo. What an amazing place when you stop and look at all the history. It was free, but of all the dumb things, we weren't allowed to take pitchers 'o nuthin'! They had a beaded vest that belonged to my friend and yours "Daaveey, Davey Crockett, king 'o the wild fronteeer" And one of the first knives made by Jim Booie(Bowie), lots of artifacts and a mock up of the battle. Awesome and sad too, They,never had a chance ,really. And it was amazing how SMALL it was! Guess back when there weren't 16story buildings and it was just prairie, it looked purty big! Then we visited the REAL San Antonio, what a difference, like Houston, we were amazed at how dirty the real town is. The touristy part was really clean, but when you "took a little look~see" in other parts of town it wasn't purdy, trust me! Of course, being me, I took some "People" pictures, and will put some on for you, as well as the good stuff we tourists are suppose ta see!
Right now Bill & I are just sitting here in Whody, who, by the way, is still puking oil all over the car,I am doing the Blog,(really?) ha, and He is reading, and we are waiting for our laundry to get done, we can do it here for free, and free is a "Very good price"!, so are getting it ALL caught up! Hot Diggity, ah'm gona have undies again, won't have ta turn 'em inside out no mo'! I do hope you know I'm kidding, YUCK!!!! Not that I've NEVER done that, but not recently, for sure!
