Good a lot on for ya!

Howdy ya'll, have ya missed me, I've sure missed you all! I haven't been able to put pictures on, and was getting ready to just catch you up on all that we have done, I always try the picture thangy and for some reason tonight, it worked, so I just loaded you up, sure hope you don't mind.

On the 4th of July we took a ride to a place called Grande Isle, and Holy Cow what a place, and getting there was quite an experience too! We headed out from New Orleans, and as we got closer to the Isle, noticed that on both sides of us the water was a road level, or MAYBE a couple of feet lower, then we see all these boats, some quite large, in the water, All of a sudden Bill screeches to the side of the road and says" Wow, look at that, it is a bridge!"Sure enough, a little house starts to move and

This was a sign we saw in Thibodeaux, it was at a house, and he lady was nice and offered us some of what she sold, but we declined, I think Al, my son-in-law would have jumped at the chance!

Had to visit the town of Thibodeaux, Our daughter and son-in-laws last name is Thibodeau, so it had special meaning to us.

Even Sassy liked it, she walked right in, took a drink and went, PA~TOOEE, that's yukky!

There I am, it was windy, and about 85*, so really nice.

Bill wading in the Gulf. It was really warm!!

The gulf of Mexico, and our dolphin>>>>>>>>>>

The Gulf of Mexico, this guy was fishing?

Some of the local interesting folks, it was the 4th of July, and this place was crowded!!

Bridges to nowhere!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Boats like these went through when the bridges were up!

This was a bridge on the way to Grand Island, the building at the left moved, pulling the bridge down and allowing the cars to go over the channel. Awesome, Bill had to get out and look, it totally fasinated him.

Yes, they ALL live this way, up on stilts!!

You see these signs everywhere, and it behoves you to watch or listen to a weather report because the storms come up fast and furious!

Aren't they a handsome lot. There they sat in all their glory, as we entered the museum. Everything was metal, I Loved the horse!

This beautiful dress was worn by 3 generations of women, 1803, 1903, and 1953. They don't make 'em like that anymore!

The light from an Old lighthouse that was on the Mississippi River. In the background Bill is looking at a full size Shrimp boat. Pretty cool!!

Talk about cool, a submarine used during the Civil War. And I thought the USS Kid was small.

This guy even saved his horses teeth, carried them in his pocket! And YOU thought I was weird!!

There He is, the short, broke Napoleon, who later sold the Louisiana Territory.

This is the coin that good ole boy Napolean offered theIndians as symbols of friendship. Wonder if they reaslly believed it?
