Edit
Hi, Where do I start? Don't know. We have been as busy as one armed paper hangers, and sometimes wish we were a bit younger, 'cause it doesn't seem to bother the youngsters to be on the go all the time! WHEW!! Well, since I can't get any pictures on here I will make it short,(yeah, right, like I EVER make anything short!) We had a birthday party for our son Jeff, with balloons, cake, banner, the whole 9 yards. He just turned 45(April30), and I still remember him in diapers, ooh he wouldn't like me to tell the world that, but that's what Moms are for, RIGHT? We have been going with the family to different meetings and to other family homes for dinner, what a rush to go for dinner when both families have 5 or more kids, you night as well prepare, wear steel-toed shoes and have an iron gut, there are kids everywhere, stepping on toes, yelling,OOPS forgot the earplugs, and when they are allowed to get their food first, be sure you look, VERY CAREFULLY before you scoop your food, that should need NO explanation! Really it has been quite fun, and most of the kids are really mannerly. (Hope that soothes all the Moms & Dads of big families )
Dr. Bill has been talking about getting another new heart for Whody, 'cause this one is spitting oil all over the back of her and all over our car. their is a Detroit engine specialist, sounds like Medicare huh folks?, that is suppose to look at her heart and try to find the leak. If he can do so, we will eave her as she is. We are praying for that, Her heart purrs along and has great power, we just use a gallon of oil every 200miles, and along with the gas prices, it all adds up ! But who's adding?? Ha! So we are praying for an answer and hope he (the Diesel Dr.) soon.
We did take off and go to Bridgeport, Texas for the week-end, such a nice park, right by a lake, dad-burn it, wish the pictures would load, I took them to show you how pretty it was there! It was a Thousand Trails campground, which meant it was gated, and by cracky, I FINALLY heard a Texan talk pretty fast! You have to wait for them to open the gate, then you have 30sec. to get through, she had just let another car through, and Bill was gona ask her a question, she hollered"Git goin',Git goin' bo-ay" meaning boy! Bill and I laughed so hard because in all the time we have been here the people talk slow, you sometimes nod off before the second word, I do love these Texas folks tho, they have been most kind and friendly!!
NOW and explanation of the word TEXAGON.....Made ya wait so you'd read the whole blog, I ain't no dummy! It has rained for 3 days here, told Bill I've almost lost my ya'll and regrown my webs, the only difference is that the rain comes in BIG drops, Bill left our carpet for the entry outside, and about 3am I awoke to rain, yelling GET UP OUR CARPET IS OUT THERE! (Yes, it was that loud) He jumped out of bed, still in his undies, ran outside grabbed the carpet, couldn't have taken him 3min max, the drops were so big he was soaked and had to change, no way was I letting him back in bed like that! Another difference, the rain is so warm people play out in it! Seems rain doesn't stop Texans either, actually it is how they water the small animals around them, they stand out in the rain until those 10gallon hat brims are full, then all they have to do is tip their heads and WAL-LA, watered animals! Bet you didn't know that piece of trivia, did ya? With that I had better get off of here, so until next time, with pictures again, I hope, this is Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy, who hates rain, 'specially when the drops are as big as her!, signing off for now. TTFN
