Hi! We gave her the day off, and went to Sedona. Not being much for the hoopla on main street, we went looking for the museum. How interesting, the house the museum office is in, use to belong to a family named Jordan. They built a 1 room house, and in there they raised 3 kids, can you believe that? Now kids have to each have their own rooms, and wouldn't dream of going to the "outhouse", or getting water from a well, or doing without all the worldly things, poor babies! They also raised apples and we saw a lot of the "tools" of the trade back in the 1930's. They also showed us the entertainment they used, and there are pictures on here to show everyone, 'specially you Al! One is an old metal washbasin, one a shovel, and one an old cigar box, can't you just imagine living in a day when these were played, how awesome !
Then we went for a little ride and looked at the MOST A~MAZING houses, (pics) they were flat topped and matched the colors of the beautiful mountains so well, you could hardly see them! I told Bill how cool it would be to have one and he says,"bet they don't cost that much" HAAA, we looked at a lot, appox. 50x50, and he was right, soo we are gona take the money out of petty cash, it was only $549,000, but can't figure out where we will get the money to build one of those cool houses! Just kidding, hope you all know that!
Then we went to the airport to see the view, then on to a beautiful chapel that was built into the rocks so it would blend in, WOW some people are really gifted, I know I use the word amazing a lot, but it was like being at the Grand Canyon with people on the canyon floor! The greatest colors! Took a picture of a home,(I guess, I'd get lost in it, and didn't even want to THINK about cleaning it, YUK) but it was Magnificent! So much beauty in one day, my eyeballs are blurry! We headed home, stopped in Flagstaff for dinner, and here I am, bugging all of you, AGAIN!
Tomorrow we are heading for the Caverns, pray that this ole sissy will have the nerve to go down in them, I do have a little claustrophobia, but with lotz of prayer it ain't what is use to be! Any hoo, see ya tomorrow , with more of the BIL~LET news and excitement, (well, it is for us anyhow!) Love and Smiles, Arlette & Bill too. Don't forget the Sassy!
