Hi ya'll, ken I hep ya? That's the way the locals sound to me, they are delightfully funny & friendly! Stuck my fingert in a light socket today,(not literaly) I got a perm for my hair! Stopped at a local beauty salon, and that's how I was greeted, and with a big smile. I asked if someone could give me a perm. today and the answer was "sho-nuff,hon, come on in and sit ye'sef dawn, we cun tiake keer of ya rat naw"(hope you understood that, there is more) So.....we got started and she asked me if I lived "in this heer part of the kuntry" told her no, just visiting our son in Bowie,(I pronounced it like a bow in your hair) the whole shop just exploded with laughter and the owner said "Thet's pernounced Buwie Darlin', where ya'll from ?" I told her Portland, Oregon , then she said "Oh Oregone" NO,Oregun, more laughter then someone said, " Well, guess we done got even wit-cha for you pernouncin' Bowie wrong, now we are even, rat?" Right! They were the best bunch of gals, and in listening, they have the same worries and concerns as we do, they just tawk different, rat??
I am putting on some pictures to sort of show you a little of the campus here, and where Whody has set up shop for a couple of days. A couple will show Whody, one is the office, then the individual houses, and on kind of out in a field is the one Bill is helping them finish inside, sheet rocking, and putting in cabinets, etc. I may even get to help paint, who knows? I also hope I can get a picture on the a long horn that was in a trailer on the freeway. There is a beautiful speciman in a field not far from here, but he is a little bit shy, or I'm a little loopy, cause when He is out and lookin' hunky, my camera is not with me,and when my camera is there, he ain't!
