HERE WE ARE

This is one of the friends I 'talk' to daily, yes, I do most of the talking, but isn't she a beaut?

Well now, it's been a couple of days since my last blog, and I've been out and about taking some pictures of what I have seen, so get ready!!

This will give you an overview of where "we'all are! I have taken a few of the inside of the school, and outside, as well as our daily 'visitors' that I spend time talking to, (Yep, talking to, like they could understand!, yep,yep. ) They do roll their eyes and swish their long tails, and of those who know me, I do all the talking any way!

Then their are our Grandkids and you know I have to put some pics on of them, they are growing by leaps and bounds, and are fully aware of their Grammas weird habit of talking to the animals!

We went to dinner on Sunday at a restaurant called 'Boondocks', what a hoot! You went into the door of this HUGE building, people were all lined up and chatting with each other, and on one side was a buffet and servers were putting food on plates for other folks, so I finally asked, telling the gal we were new here and weren't sure what to do, her reply was"Well Honeychile, ya'll just get yersef in line, grab a plate, fil-er up wit down home cookin' an chow down, and if'n ya wanna salad ba, it be $2 exter, K?" "K" I said and we proceeded to go to the salad bar, sat down at a table and were served our drink of choice, coffe,tea(Sweeatend, or reglar)or soda, we chose coffee, and once the salad was gone proceeded to get in line for the 'real' food,which was a choice of Chicken fried Steak, OR Chicken & rice, and side dishes of mixed Veggies, Oakra and tomaters, are we in Texas or what, corn nuggets, just like chicken nuggets but filled with 'sweeate corn then deep fried, mashed potatoes and cream gravy. We took Chicken fried steak, YUMMO, I almost took the oakra, but remembered it is quite slimy, and I was hungry so went for the non fattnin' corn nuggets, quite popular in Texas, and I loved them, Bill took the same, but wished he had taken mixed veggies, the blasted Oregonian! THEN: we headed for the dessert table, pies cakes cobblers you name it, I took Choclate cake, don't even go there gals, it was WONDERFUL, and Bill took Chocolate pie. Now mind you, we had no idea how much this was gona cost, had no cash on us and didn't even know if they took cards, but ate hearty, figuring we could always do dishes. Started talking to the gal about the building cause it was sort of an unusual shape, only to find out that it had, at one time been a bowling alley. She was the owner and had only been open a couple of months, and although people were coming in at a steady pace, she said it was a "slow Sunday" that they usually serve until 2pm and the line was still out to the door. I have a picture looking in so you can get some idea. We finish, she gives us a bill, not charging us for the salad bar, so we told her,and she said "Shoot, ya'll din't eat nuff to worry about, we jest charge the folks what take a bunch, then throw it all away". We were so full, and the whole thing was only $7. each plus tax, and we got to watch a whole lot of Texans visitin' & jawin' wif each other, It was fun. No, we didn't eat dinner that night , we were still too full! We will go back sometime for breakfast, she said we get a menu and everthang!

Just had to put the picture of the pickup with "BillyBob" on it, Now you really kn ow you are in Texas!!!! Well, we aren't doing much lately, Bill is working on Whodys dash, and I am doing some cleaning, and we are visiting with our family, but we will soon be back on the road and the adventures will continue, I promise!
