Close.... maybe tomorrow

Hi, I realize it's been a while since I've written and told you about Whody and how her new heart is doing. Well....... she didn't start today, but gave it all she had, so hard in fact she sprung a leak. Dr. Bill has it all figured out, fixed the leak, but it has to be left until tomorrow. But... she has really good compression, and we feel sure she will start.
We, have been watching and talking to people, and what a great place this is. Many people live 10 to 40 miles out of town, with no water supply, so they come in once or twice a week, going by our camp, to fill up with water in big old tanks in the back of their trucks. They also use propane for cooking and heating, and use a generator for electricity. I have been watching trucks go by with both water & propane tanks. Some I have noticed twice a week. Don't know how much this costs, but guess not much. I love people and how they chose to live. Amazing to me, 'specially since I'm one of those that likes my lights, water and heat! Ha,Ha.
The wind has been blowing about 25-30miles per today, ya gotta hang onto the doors and your hat. Poor Sassy, she was trying to go potty and the wind kept blowing her so hard she couldn't stand up, so we finally went between 2 RVs here in the park and she got to go! It was one of the only times I have seen her willing to get back in the bus! What a hoot!
Through this whole thing, other than Bill getting really tired, we are surviving. We do thank God for that, and we are still counting our blessings! Thanks to all who are following, We should be on our way to Texas by the first of next week, Bill needs time to just rest. How many guys his age could completely remove & put a whole HUGE diesel engine back in a bus, in a campground, on the gravel in only a week! Go ahead, try it! He's a pretty awesome guy, I think so anyway! Thanks for listening! Love and miss ya all.. Arlette & Bill too! And wind blown Sassy.
