Having fun at Carlsbad, New Mexico

Here we are at Landmark Baptist church,Carlsbad, New Mexico, all settled in, nice church, friendly people!  This is usually how we park, side by side, or nose to nose!  You can see that Behemoth is taking a breather! ha ha

The kids got Grampa and Gramma all dressed up, thus all these pictures, don't I look demure??  That wasn't easy ya know! snicker

Here is a bevy of beauties, from left to right: Nanci, Maurica, yours truly,Lorin, and Emily.  A gorgeous bunch I say!!

Handsome fellas, from left to right, Philip,Matthew, Peter, Bill, Jeffrey and Sweet William, in a

After all those pictures we were hungry, I was hot so changed my shirt, they wanted MORE pictures! Sweet William is trying to be dapper,I think he is funny, but cute!

Now is that a handsome couple or what, can we eat now??? ha ha, had a wonderful Chinese buffet!

As we were leaving, heading for Roswell I saw this beautiful blue engine, and on one side there was a junkyard for Grampa and on the other side a propane place for Jeff, Whoo Hoo. Behemoth runs on Propane. We had a great time!

Las Cruces, New Mexico

Here we are at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Las Cruces, NMexico.  It is so fun to watch these kids march down the isle to the 2nd row!!!

This sweet little girl was practicing the piano and was very good.  She looks to be about 8 or so.

There is Jeff with the Pastor, and below are some fellas that sang a trio.

I put a picture on of Matt interpreting for his Dad, but this one is much better, He walks beside or behind and does the same motions as Jeff.  it is really amazing!

Here we go again, heading for Albuquerque, New Mexico, "Wagons, HO!!

Discovered the fastest way to Albuquerque was out of New Mexico, into Texas, then back into New Mexico, good drive...................

The eyes of Texas are upon you, but not for very long, only a few miles.
We weren't there long enough to find out how Texans drive, but will get there!!

Ticky,Tacky houses, all in a row right in Albuquerque!  Below I just couldn't help taking this picture, the planes always look so small.A very large Quonset
hut, not sure what it is for, but loved the way the "door" opened!

So many of these little houses, some abandoned, not sure about this one.
Below, WHOOHOO out of order picture, this was in Texas, our great Border Patrol, good work guys, keep it up!

I LOVE mountains, so here are a few pictures of beautiful ones!
No, that mark isn't a ghost or spirit, it is a splattered bug!

The closer we got the more majestic it looked, and below the road is always winding, goes right around it!

Whirrly gigs, big and small are everywhere, maybe we need to put one on Whody??

This was a sight to behold, they looked small from here, but keep scrolling down, WOW!!!!

The amazing thing was they were all being pulled by pick~ups. Whew, there must be some major stuff to haul somewhere!

I LOVE the cows, these are New Mexico cows, and they are happy cows!! snicker

And this picture is sorta sad, everyone in life has a dream, and this looks like someones dream either was fulfilled and they got old, or they couldn't afford to keep it afloat. Do hope it was the former!!
This journey has been amazing, just being with our son and his family makes it fun.  So come on back, there is more..........
Love, Prayers and Hugs, Arlette & Bill too, and the Sassy!

Arizona to New Mexico

You know me and cactus. I love them and these were amazing!!  Just look at all the blooms.

Wish I were gonna be around to see them bloom out, these were the only ones we saw!!
Whiles we were  in Quartzsite Grampa  found a second propane tank for Jeffs truck, so they can go farther then 100miles  before refilling and......

AThe wind was blowing so hard, but I just had to see what was going on  outside,  so I opened the bedroom window and peaked out!  Scared everyone half to death, ackkkkkkk............... Grampa was putting in a new  pump.
Our water pump went out, AGAIN, so he thought this would be the solution , it wasn't, don't know why, but it wasn't.

It went back to the store, the next day.

This would be Philip, just sitting in for a visit with Gramma!  Love it!!

Headed to Las Cruces, NM, we just follow along, and stop when they need propane, as you see below!!

I remember these rocks from last year when we were headed this way, I loved them, looks like they were stacked this way just for us to see.

More cactus, these are going to seed, and think those may be pecan trees, yum!!

Stopping for lunch , there is Nan, Bill & Philip, stretching and looking hungry! Soooo... time to eat!  See ya again, we will be continuing on our journey, so come on along!  Bye,bye, love, hugs and prayers, Arlette & Bill too, and Sweet Sassy!!
